Abstract

4C skills in the world of education in the 21st century are very important to provide opportunities for students to work independently in creating valuable work products, for example on voltaic cell materials. 4C skills can be trained using a learning model that actively involves students so that students have the freedom to explore themselves, for example the project based learning (PjBL) learning model. This research aims to determine the differences in students' 4C skills before and after implementing the project based learning (PjBL) learning model in the control class and experimental class and to determine the effectiveness of students' 4C skills after implementing the project based learning (PjBL) learning model on voltaic cell material. This type of research is quasi-experimental quantitative using a Pretest Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The samples in the research were 34 students of class XII IPA 1 as the control class and XII IPA 5 as the experimental class at SMA Negeri 2 Pandeglang each with purposive sampling. The research data obtained was processed descriptively statistically using Microsoft Excel and inferential analysis such as validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity and Independent Sample T-Test tests to test hypotheses using the SPSS 25.0 application. The research carried out succeeded in showing that there were differences before and after the implementation of the PjBL model on students' 4C skills as evidenced by the sig (2-tailed) value in the hypothesis test of 0.000 in the control and experimental classes. Apart from that, the effectiveness of the PjBL learning model on 4C skills in the experimental class obtained a value of 3.260 > 0.80 with very high criteria. And the percentage difference in the average value of test answers in the control class was 35% lower than in the experimental class. . Meanwhile, on the observation sheet, the overall average percentage was 78% in the control class and included in the good criteria and 80% in the experimental class and included in the very good criteria.
