Abstract
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study to determine the correlation between self-motivated with the cognitive abilities of students of class XI on the concept of the human excretory system in senior high school Al-Khairiyah 4 Cilegon. This research method using descriptive correlational techniques. Population is all students of class XI in senior high school Al-Khairiyah 4 Cilegon while the sample is class XI science, amounting to 20 people with a purposive sampling. Instruments used in the form of questionnaires and objective test. Based on the analysis of the data showed that there is a significant correlation between self-motivation with cognitive ability in class XI at senior high school Al-Khairiyah 4 Cilegon. Based on the results of this study concluded that there is a significant positive correlation between self-motivated with the cognitive abilities of students of class XI on the concept of the human excretory system in senior high school Al-Khairiyah 4 Cilegon with a correlation coefficient of 0,574 at the 5% significance level. | Additional Information: | ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui korelasi antara motivasi diri dengan kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas XI pada konsep sistem ekskresi manusia di SMA Al-Khairiyah 4 Cilegon. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik korelasional. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI di SMA Al-Khairiyah 4 Cilegon sedangkan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas XI IPA yang berjumlah 20 orang dengan cara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan tes objektif. Berdasarkan analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara motivasi diri dengan kemampuan kognitif pada siswa kelas XI di SMA Al-Khairiyah 4 Cilegon. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif yang cukup antara motivasi diri dengan kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas XI pada konsep sistem ekskresi manusia di SMA Al-Khairiyah 4 Cilegon dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,574 pada tingkat signifikasi 5 %.
