Abstract
Information today is not only through mass media but also through social media. With the development of technology, social media has become the main source for many people to get daily news and information. The Instagram account @beritacilegon is one of the news information social media accounts regarding Cilegon, in previous research it was found that the Instagram account @beritacilegon was the first largest news social media in the city of Cilegon and also provided the most updated information about the city of Cilegon. Such as news about the rise in cases of juvenile delinquency, especially news related to motorbike gangs. This research aims to find out how the teenage audience interprets news about motorbike gang crime on Instagram @beritacilegon as a dominant, negotiating and oppositional audience. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach and uses reception analysis methods. This research is based on Reception theory using Stuart Hall's Encoding-Decoding model. Where as a source of information, mass media certainly has an impact that is able to create interpretations of audiences who read writing or see images. In this research, it consisted of 5 informants. The research results were categorized based on the position of the teenage audience as coined by Stuart Hall, namely dominant, negotiating and oppositional. In this research, of the 5 informants interviewed, 2 people were in a dominant position, namely informative, 1 person was in a negotiation position, the informant accepted and understood the news but rejected the sentences/messages conveyed in the content of the news because it was justified by highlighting the use of language that seemed rude. and vulgar and inappropriate without censorship, and 2 people in the opposition position of the informant refused because this news only made people emotional and also this news was not clear and also lacked information.

| Additional Information: | Informasi saat ini tidak hanya melalui media massa akan tetapi tetapi melalui media sosial, Dengan semakin berkembangnya teknologi, media sosial telah menjadi sumber utama bagi banyak orang untuk mendapatkan berita dan informasi sehari-hari, Akun Instagram @beritacilegon merupakan salah satu akun media sosial informasi berita mengenai Cilegon, Pada penelitian sebelumnya ditemukan bahwa akun Instagram @beritacilegon menjadi media sosial berita terbesar pertama di kota Cilegon dan juga dalam memberikan informasi ter-update seputar kota Cilegon. Seperti pemberitaan mengenai maraknya kasus kenakalan remaja khususnya pemberitaan terkait geng motor, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemaknaan khalayak remaja terhadap pemberitaan kriminal geng motor di Instagram @beritacilegon sebagai khalayak dominan, negosiasi dan oposisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan metode analisis resepsi, Penelitian ini berdasarkan pada teori Resepsi menggunakan model Encoding-Decoding Stuart Hall. Di mana sebagai sumber informasi, media massa tentunya memiliki dampak yang mampu menciptakan interpretasi khalayak yang membaca tulisan atau melihat lewat gambar. Dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 5 informan, Hasil penelitian dikategorikan berdasarkan posisi khalayak remaja yang dicetuskan Stuart Hall, yaitu dominan, negosiasi, dan oposisi. Dalam penelitian ini, dari 5 orang informan yang diwawancarai 2 orang berada posisi dominan yaitu bersifat informatif, 1 orang pada posisi negosiasi informan menerima dan memahami adanya pemberitaan namun menolak kalimat/pesan yang disampaikan dalam isi berita tersebut karena beralasan menyoroti penggunaan kata bahasa terkesan kasar dan vulgar dan juga tidak pantas tanpa adanya sensor, dan 2 orang pada posisi oposisi informan menolak karena pemberitaan ini hanya membuat masyarakat emosi dan juga pemberitaan ini kurang jelas dan juga kurang informasi. | ||||||
