Abstract

This study describes the problems regarding (a) the form of speech; (b) type of speech; and (c) the practice of speech in the form of difemism in the GenIUS school environment of Tangerang district which is associated with the phenomenon of verbal violence. This study uses the theory of classification of flavor values by Allan and Burridge in Lailli. This research uses a qualitative method with a listening method with the basic tapping technique, and a free listening technique with conversational involvement, recording, and recording as an advanced technique. This study uses the extralingual match analysis method and the data triangulation method. Based on this study, it was found that in the GenIUS school environment in Tangerang district, a total of 32 pieces of valid data on speech with negative connotations were found in the form of taboo terms, obscene speech, comparisons between humans and animals, abnormal terms, disrespectful terms and nicknames of physical characters. Therefore, in practice, it shows that GenIUS school students are so closely with the use of dysphemic speech.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini menguraikan permasalahan mengenai (a) bentuk tuturan; (b) jenis tuturan; dan (c) praktik ujaran berwujud difemisme di lingkungan sekolah GenIUS kabupaten Tangerang yang dikaitkan dengan fenomena kekerasan verbal. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori klasifikasi nilai rasa oleh Allan dan Burridge dalam Lailli. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan metode simak dengan teknik dasar sadap, dan teknik simak bebas libat cakap, rekam, catat sebagai teknik lanjutannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis padan ekstralingual dan metode triangulasi data. Berdasarkan penelitian ini didapati hasil, bahwa di lingkungan sekolah GenIUS di kabupaten Tangerang ditemukan sejumlah 32 buah data sahih ujaran berkonotasi negatif berjenis istilah tabu, ujaran cabul, perbandingan manusia dengan hewan, istilah abnormal, istilah tidak hormat dan julukan karakter fisik. Oleh karena itu, dalam praktiknya menunjukkan siswa sekolah GenIUS begitu erat dengan penggunaan ujaran disfemisme.
