Abstract
This research is motivated by the still not optimal use of learning media as an interesting learning support, resulting in a decline in students' interest in learning. The aim of this research is to develop cartoon-based animated video learning media and determine the level of feasibility of this media. The method used in this research is the Research and Development method using the 4D model from Thiagarajan. The instruments used in this research include interviews to find out problems that occur in schools, validation sheets as a tool to measure the level of validation in terms of media, materials and users as well as student response questionnaires from learning media. The results of the research show that animated video media based on powtoon with the theme of packaged food to support students' overall interest in learning obtained a validation percentage score of 94.4% in the "Very Appropriate" category, media experts obtained a percentage score of 95.6% in the "Very Appropriate" category. ”, material experts obtained a percentage score of 96% in the “Very Decent” category, and science teachers obtained a percentage score of 91.6% in the “Very Decent” category. The results of the limited trial efficiency level obtained a percentage value of 84.2% in the "Very Efficient" category.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masih belum maksimalnya penggunaan media pembelajaran sebagai penunjang belajar yang menarik sehingga timbul penurunan minat belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran video animasi berbasis Powtoon serta mengetahui tingkat kevalidan dari media tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Research and Development dengan menggunakan model 4D dari Thiagarajan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi wawancara untuk mengetahui permasalahan yang terjadi di sekolah, lembar validasi sebagai alat untuk mengukur tingkat validasi dari segi media, materi dan pengguna serta angket respon siswa dari media pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media video animasi berbasis Powtoon tema makanan kemasan untuk mendukung minat belajar siswa secara keseluruhan memperoleh nilai persentase validasi sebesar 94,4% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”, ahli media memperoleh persentase nilai sebesar 95,6% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”, ahli materi memperoleh persentase nilai sebesar 96% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”, dan guru IPA memperoleh persentase nilai sebesar 91,6% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”. Hasil tingkat validasi uji coba terbatas memperoleh nilai persentase sebesar 84,2% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”. | |||||||||
