Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine correlation between discipline with student achievement and its implications for guidance and counseling at SMP PGRI 1 Pulomerak. Obtained by simple random sampling method then obtained 188 respondents. This study uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods and uses data collection methods in the form of questionnaires and the accumulation of daily test scores for all student subjects. Based on data processing obtained values: 1) r count of 0.466 and rtable of 0.361, meaning that r count> rtable.2) R Square value of 0.217 or means that discipline has an effective contribution of 21.7% of achievement. While the remaining 78.3% is from other variables outside this study.that is, the number implies that there is a relationship between discipline and student achievement in Pulomerak 1 PGRI Middle School. Because the results of the study show a positive and significant relationship, thus the overall hypothesis test can be accepted. So, the higher the students' discipline, the higher their achievement.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kedisiplinan dengan prestasi belajar siswa serta implikasinya terhadap bimbingan dan konseling di SMP PGRI 1 Pulomerak. Diperoleh dengan metode simple random sampling kemudian didapatkan 188 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional dan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner serta rata-rata nilai ulangan harian seluruh mata pelajaran siswa. Berdasarkan pengolahan data didapatkan nilai: 1) rhitungsebesar 0,466 danrtabelsebesar 0,361, artinyarhitung> rtabel.2) nilaiR Square sebesar 0,217 ataumengandungartibahwakedisiplinanmemilikisumbanganefektif /keeratan hubungan sebesar 21,7% terhadap prestasi belajar. Sedangkansisanya 78,3% adalahdarivariabel lain di luarpenelitianini.Artinya, angka tersebut mengandung arti bahwa adanya hubungan antara kedisiplinan dengan prestasi belajar siswa di SMP PGRI 1 Pulomerak. Karena hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan, dengan demikian keseluruhan uji hipotesis dapat diterima. Jadi, semakin tinggi kedisiplinan siswa maka akan semakin tinggi pula prestasi belajarnya.
