Abstract

Unhealthy lifestyles such as having smoking habits, consuming alcohol, consuming spicy food, drinking coffee, stress, lying down after eating, and diets that are not risk factors for GERD. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is one of the most common digestive disorders in the community with a prevalence of 783.95 million cases of GERD worldwide. GERD incident management can be done by providing education to increase knowledge. This study aims to find out the theoretical and application of knowledge deficit family nursing care in GERD sufferers with educational actions to prevent the recurrence of GERD in the Serang Kota Health Center area. The research method used is qualitative research with a research design, namely a case study through a nursing care approach which includes nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing intervention, nursing implementation, and nursing evaluation. . The subjects of this study are two GERD clients who experience knowledge deficit problems in the Serang Kota health center area. The results of the study showed an increase in knowledge marked by the pre-test client 1 was able to answer 4 out of 10 questions to 8 out of 10 questions during the post-test, while client 2 pre-test results 3 out of 10 questions to 10 out of 10 questions during the post-test. Providing education to GERD sufferers can overcome the problem of knowledge deficit regarding the prevention of GERD recurrence.

Additional Information: Gaya hidup yang tidak sehat seperti memiliki kebiasaan merokok, mengonsumsi alkohol, mengonsumsi makanan pedas, minum kopi, stres, berbaring setelah makan, serta pola makan yang tidak menjadi faktor risiko terjadinya GERD. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) merupakan salah satu gangguan pencernaan yang umum dijumpai masyarakat dengan pravelensi 783,95 juta kasus GERD di seluruh dunia. Penatalaksanaan kejadian GERD dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian edukasi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran teori dan aplikasi mengenai asuhan keperawatan keluarga defisit pengetahuan pada penderita GERD dengan tindakan edukasi pencegahan kambuhnya GERD di wilayah Puskesmas Serang Kota. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian yaitu studi kasus melalui pendekatan asuhan keperawatan yang meliputi pengkajian keperawatan, diagnosa keperawatan, intervensi keperawatan, implementasi keperawatan, dan evaluasi keperawatan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua klien GERD yang mengalami masalah defisit pengetahuan di wilayah puskesmas Serang Kota. Hasil penelitian terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan ditandai dengan pre-test klien 1 mampu menjawab 4 dari 10 pertanyaan menjadi 8 dari 10 pertanyaan saat post-test, sedangkan klien 2 hasil pre-test 3 dari 10 pertanyaan menjadi 10 dari 10 pertanyaan saat post-test. Pemberian edukasi kepada penderita GERD dapat mengatasi masalah defisit pengetahuan mengenai pencegahan kambuhnya GERD.
