Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the effect of profitability on company value with capital structure as an intervening variable and company size as a control variable carried out on companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2016-2022 period. The variables examined in this research are profitability projected by Return of Equity (ROE), company value projected by Price Book Value (PBV), Capital Structure projected by Debt Equity Ratio (DER), and projected company size. by LN Total Assets. The population in this study are companies included in the manufacturing sector, sub-sector of the consumer goods industry, which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2016-2022 period. The population in this research was 13 companies and used secondary data and used causality research methods using a quantitative approach. The data collection technique in this research uses documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests (normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and autocorrelation test), hypothesis testing using regression equations, t test, path analysis test, and Sobel test using the SPSS version 26 program . The results of this research show that: (1) Profitability has a positive effect on company value, (2) Profitability has a significant positive effect on capital structure, (3) Capital structure has a significant positive effect on company value, (4) Capital structure is unable to mediate the relationship between profitability on company value.

Additional Information:	Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan dengan struktur modal sebagai variabel intervening dan ukuran perusahaan sebagai variabel kontrol yang dilakukan pada perusahaan yang terdaftar dalam Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2016-2022. Adapun variabel yang di teliti dalam penelitian ini adalah profitabilitas yang diproyeksi oleh Return of Equity (ROE), nilai perusahaan yang diproyeksi oleh Price Book Value (PBV), Struktur Modal yang di proyeksi oleh Debt Equity Ratio (DER), dan ukuran perusahaan yang diproyeksi oleh LN Total Aset. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan yang termasuk dalam sektor manufaktur sub sektor industri barang konsumsi yang terdaftar dalam Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2016-2022. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 13 perusahaan dan menggunakan data sekunder serta menggunakan metode penelitian kausalitas yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitarif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik (uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji multikolinearitas, uji heteroskedastisitas, dan uji autokorelasi), uji hipotesis menggunakan persamaan regresi, uji t, uji analisis jalur, dan uji sobel yang menggunakan program SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Profitabilitas berpengaruh positif terhadap Nilai perusahaan, (2) Profitabilitas berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Struktur modal, (3) Struktur modal berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Nilai perusahaan, (4) Struktur modal tidak mampu memediasi hubungan antara profitabilitas terhadap Nilai perusahaan.
