Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide a detailed description of the background, nature, or phenomenon of the Covid-19 pandemic with new adaptations to online learning and its impact on students' mathematical critical thinking. This research uses a descriptive-analytical method, and the instruments in this study are tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The data analysis employed in this research is the interactive model. Based on the research conducted through tests, questionnaires, and interviews, students' mathematical critical thinking skills in online learning exhibit complexity. Students in the high category can identify problems well, while students in the medium category need to improve their explanation of solution steps. Students in the low category still struggle to analyze problems and relate them to mathematical concepts. In online learning, there is a general dissatisfaction with online education, influenced by the lack of social interaction, clarity of material, and internet access issues. Nevertheless, the variation in student interest shows opportunities to enhance the quality of online learning according to more enjoyable activities learning.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan secara rinci latar belakang, sifat atau fenomena pandemi Covid-19 dengan adaptasi baru pembelajaran secara daring terhadap berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitis, instrument pada penelitian ini adalah tes, kuesioner dan wawancara. Analisa data yang dipakai dalam riset ini yaitu model interaktif. Berdasarkan penelitian melalui tes, angket, dan wawancara, kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa pada pembelajaran daring menunjukkan kompleksitas. Siswa dengan kategori berpikir kritis tinggi mampu mengidentifikasi masalah dengan baik, sementara siswa dengan kategori berpikir kritis sedang perlu meningkatkan penjelasan langkah-langkah penyelesaian. Siswa dengan kategori berpikir kritis rendah masih kurang dalam menganalisis masalah dan mengaitkannya dengan konsep matematika. Dalam pembelajaran daring, terdapat ketidaksenangan terhadap pembelajaran online, dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya interaksi sosial, kejelasan materi, dan kendala akses internet. Meskipun demikian, variasi dalam minat siswa menunjukkan peluang untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran daring guna membuat kegiatan pembelajaran yang lebih menyenangkan.
