Abstract

PT.XYZ is a private company which is engaged in galvanizing services. At XYZ there are indications of a waste at the time of the pickling, drying, quenching, finishing. For example in the pickling process the length of time it takes for 27 minutes and produce as many as 31 units. Where in the process of pickling contained perforation activity, this activity has occurred in the repetition of work which perforate the product. The method used to address the waste, ie lean manufacturing approach with the aim of identifying the activities in the production process which is an activity of value added (VA), non-value added (NVA) and Necessary non-value added (NNVA), reduction of non-value added activities (NVA) Necessary and non-value added activities (NNVA) and determine the amount of increase in productivity by reducing non-value added activities Necessary (NNVA) then mapped in detail by using the tools Process Activity Mapping, Big Picture Mapping, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Methods Time Measurement and productivity. 5 Based on the obtained data processing sub- activities that can be repaired is finding equipment 2 minutes and 4.5 minutes perforate products on the pickling, drying 16 minutes on the drying process, look for equipment 2 minutes on quenching process and look for 1.5 minutes grinding on the finishing process and the change of distance between processes an average of 2 meters. To reduce the time necessary to design repair process by using the tools Process Activity Mapping and Mapping the Big Picture. After performing the proposed improvement is obtained based on the proposal of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis obtained a total change in the processing time becomes 23:34 minutes for the process of pickling, rinsing 5 minutes to process, 4.5 minutes for the process of fluxing, 16.5 for the drying process, 7.5 for the dipping process, 8:19 to process quenching and 13.91 for the finishing process by an average distance of 1 meter between the process and increasing productivity in the pickling process by 5 units. Additional Information: PT.XYZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan swasta yang bergerak dalam bidang jasa galvanisasi. Pada PT XYZ terdapat indikasi pemborosan pada waktu proses pickling, drying, quenching, finishing. Sebagai contoh pada proses pickling lamanya waktu yang dibutuhkan sebesar 27 menit dan menghasilkan produk sebanyak 31 unit. Dimana didalam proses pickling terdapat aktivitas pelubangan, didalam aktivitas ini telah terjadi pengulangan pekerjaan yakni melubangi produk. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengatasi pemborosan, yaitu pendekatan lean manufacturing dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi aktivitas pada proses produksi yang merupakan aktivitas value added (VA), non value added (NVA) dan necessary non value added (NNVA), pengurangan aktivitas non value added (NVA) dan aktivitas necessary non value added (NNVA) dan mengetahui jumlah peningkatan produktivitas dengan pengurangan aktivitas necessary non value added (NNVA) kemudian melakukan pemetaan secara detail dengan menggunakan tools Process Activity Mapping, Big Picture Mapping, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Methods Time Measurement dan produktivitas. Berdasarkan pengolahan data didapatkan 5 sub aktivitas yang dapat diperbaiki yakni mencari peralatan 2 menit dan melubangi produk 4.5 menit pada proses pickling, pengeringan 16 menit pada proses drying, mencari peralatan 2 menit pada proses quenching dan mencari gerinda 1.5 menit pada proses finishing serta mengubah jarak antar proses yang rata-rata 2 meter. Untuk mengurangi waktu proses perlu dirancang perbaikan dengan menggunakan tools Process Activity Mapping dan Big Picture Mapping. Setelah melakukan usulan perbaikan maka diperoleh usulan berdasarkan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis didapat perubahan total waktu proses menjadi 23.34 menit untuk proses pickling, 5 menit untuk proses rinsing, 4.5 menit untuk proses fluxing, 16.5 untuk proses drying, 7.5 untuk proses dipping, 8.19 untuk proses quenching dan 13.91 untuk proses finishing dengan rata-rata jarak antar proses sejauh 1 meter serta peningkatan produktivitas pada proses pickling sebesar 5 unit.
