Abstract
The use of technology and knowledge in 21st-century education has created a serious obstacle that every person must overcome in order to deal with many problems that arise. Because of this, education plays a crucial role in advancing the goals of education for sustainable development (ESD), which aims to teach people to be compassionate toward the environment and to be open-minded about a variety of problems. The purpose of this study is to develop an e-module based on ESD for global material in the context of chemistry, understand product validity, and assess the attitudes of chemistry experts and users toward the use of e-modules. Using a methodology of define, design, develop, and disseminate (4D) that is limited to the development stage alone, together with seven validators of media and materials to carry out product validation. Thirty students from class X SMA in one Tangerang Regency participated in the ESD-based e-module product trial. The five learning stages included in the designed e-module are approach and problem orientation, data gathering, concept creation, group collaboration, exchange, and reflection. The e-module validity test findings showed that the presentation and feasibility aspects scored 0.89, the ESD aspect scored 0.92, and the graphic and language aspects scored 0.93 in the valid category. With an 82.6% response rate from students, the results fall into the very well category.

Additional Information: | Kemajuan teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan pada pembelajaran abad ke 21 menghadirkan hambatan serius yang harus diatasi setiap orang untuk mengatasi berbagai permasalahan yang muncul. Maka dari itu, pendidikan memegang peran penting untuk mewujudkan pendidikan pembangunan berkelanjutan/Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) untuk mempersiapkan individu bertanggung jawab, peduli terhadap lingkungan serta memberikan gagasan berkelanjutan tentang berbagai permasalahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan e-modul berbasis ESD pada materi pemanasan global dalam konteks kimia bidang peternakan, mengetahui kevalidan produk, tanggapan peserta didik serta guru kimia terhadap penggunaan e-modul. Dengan menggunakan teknik pengembangan define, design, develop, disseminate/4D yang terbatas sampai pada tahap develeop saja dengan melibatkan 7 validator ahli media dan materi untuk melakukan validasi produk. Adapun uji coba produk e-modul berbasis ESD dilakukan kepada 30 peserta didik di kelas X SMA di salah satu Kabupaten Tangerang. E-modul yang dikembangkan terdiri dari 5 tahap pembelajaran yaitu approach and problem orientation, data collection, making concept, grup work serta exchange and reflection. Hasil uji validitas e-modul memperoleh skor 0,89 untuk aspek kelayakan dan penyajian; 0,92 untuk aspek ESD, serta aspek kegrafikan dan bahasa sebesar 0,93 dengan kategori valid.
