Abstract

Chemistry is an abstract science that investigates materials, properties, structures, and reactions based on abstract ideas, principles, and calculations. So there is a need for practical activities in the learning process through simple experiments to make it easier for abstract chemical theoretical concepts to become real. Therefore, this research aims to overcome the use of environmentally unfriendly practical materials by developing Green Chemistry-based acid-base practical instructions to develop the concept of environmental literacy. This research was prepared based on the Problem Based Learning learning model by applying aspects of Green Chemistry. The method used in this research is the Research and Development method with a 3D procedural model modified by the 4D model from S. Thiagarajan (1974). The data collection technique was carried out using a validity test instrument which was analyzed based on the Aiken's V 0.78 formula with a total of 6 media and material experts validator which produced an average score for the media validity test of 0.85. Meanwhile, the average value of the material validity test was 0.84. These practical instructions were tested on 28 students in class XI of SMAN 1 Pabuaran. The overall average percentage of student responses is 94%, indicating that the criteria are very good. After conducting research, it was found that the instructions for "Acid Base Practicum with Green Chemistry Nuances to Develop Environmental Literacy Concepts in Students" were suitable for use.

Additional Information: Ilmu kimia adalah ilmu abstrak yang menyelidiki bahan, sifat, struktur, dan reaksi didasarkan pada gagasan abstrak, prinsip, dan perhitungan. Maka perlunya kegiatan praktikum dalam proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran melalui percobaan sederhana untuk memudahkan konsep teori kimia yang bersifat abstrak menjadi nyata. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi penggunaan bahan praktikum yang tidak ramah lingkungan dengan mengembangkan petunjuk praktikum asam basa berbasis Green Chemistry untuk mengembangkan konsep literasi lingkungan. Penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan menerapkan aspek Green Chemistry. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode Research and Development dengan model procedural 3D hasil modifikasi model 4D dari S. Thiagarajan (1974). Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan instrument uji validitas yang dianalisis berdasarkan rumus Aiken’s V 0,78 dengan jumlah validator sebanyak 6 ahli media dan materi yang menghasilkan rata-rata nilai untuk uji validitas media sebesar 0,85. Sedangkan rata-rata nilai uji validitas materi sebesar 0,84. Petunjuk praktikum ini diuji cobakan pada 28 orang peserta didik dikelas XI SMAN 1 Pabuaran. Keseluruhan persentase rata-rata respon peserta didik yaitu 94% menunjukan bahwa kriteria sangat baik. Setelah dilakukan penelitian diperoleh “Petunjuk Praktikum Asam Basa Bernuansa Green Chemistry Untuk Mengembangkan Konsep Literasi Lingkungan Pada Peserta Didik” layak untuk digunakan.
