Abstract

Toll road is a public road to its users subject to the obligation to pay tolls and is an alternative road across public roads. The target for toll road services to service users is fluency, security and comfort. At the toll gate, traffic jams often occur which are generally caused by internal factors, namely insufficient balance, damage to the e-Toll machine, and disorderly road users. In this study the evaluation was more focused on toll gate services using electronic transactions (e-Toll). The research of the West Balaraja toll gate aims to determine the service time of the West Balaraja Toll Gate by using electronic transactions (e-Toll) based on the provisions of the Minister of Public Works Regulation Number: 16 / PRT / M / 2014 concerning Toll Road Minimum Service Standards and this research use the FIFO method to find out the queue length. The results of the study show that the service time of the Balaraja Barat toll gate exit is 5.99 seconds and the entrance gate is 4.94 seconds. The service time is not in accordance with the 2014 Toll Road Minimum Service Standards (SPM). Then the queue length that occurs at the west balaraja toll gate using the FIFO queue method at a service time of 6 seconds to 13 seconds in a row of 1 vehicle, 14 seconds up to 15 seconds for 2 vehicles and 16 seconds for 3 vehicles. The entrance with a service time of 5 seconds to 9 seconds in a row as many as 1 vehicle, 10 seconds as many as 2 vehicles, 11 seconds as many as 3 vehicles and 12 seconds 4 vehicles. To reduce the service time at the West Balaraja toll gate is to use the policy of adding one toll booth with a substation system open and closed at certain hours and the results obtained are 5.24 seconds for the exit and 4.19 seconds for the entrance. The service time is in accordance with the 2014 Minimum Service Standards (SPM).
