Abstract
Television advertising is one of the most efficient ways for companies to do product promotion reminders the amount of people's consumption of television reaches 91.55% every day. Cigarettes become one type of product that has many rules for advertising in various media, especially television. By the semiotic analysis method of | Peirce, this researcher looks at how the representation of icons, indexes, and symbols contained in the U Mild cigarette advertisement edition is New U Mild Man. The results of this analysis reveal that in cigarette advertisements contain icons, indices, and symbols.
