Abstract

Mathematics is very useful if it can be implemented in everyday life in the face of advances in science and technology (science and technology). Meanwhile, students' mathematical abilities are still less than good. So a learning model is needed that can improve these abilities. This research was carried out at SMPN 20 Serang City for the 2023/2024 academic year with the aim of determining the effect of the Project-Based Learning model on junior high school students' mathematical creative thinking abilities and collaboration skills. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a research design, namely The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sampling technique used was Purposive Sampling. The instruments used were a test of mathematical creative thinking abilities and a questionnaire on student collaboration skills. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the creative mathematical thinking abilities and collaboration skills of students who used the Project-Based Learning model were better than students who used conventional learning.

Additional Information: Matematika sangatlah bermanfaat bila dapat diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dalam menghadapi kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (IPTEK). Sedangkan kemampuan matematika siswa masih kurang dari kategori baik. Sehingga dibutuhkan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 20 Kota Serang tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project-Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yaitu The Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan angket keterampilan kolaborasi siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh diperoleh bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa yang menggunakan model Project-Based Learning lebih baik daripada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.
