Abstract

Mathematics education plays a significant role in developing critical and creative thinking abilities. However, this is often not in line with the understanding of concepts possessed by high school students. Therefore, effective learning media is needed in increasing high school students' understanding of mathematical concepts, such as website-based educational games. This research focuses on development using the Research and Development type of research with the ADDIE development model. The research subjects were 4 teachers as material and media expert validators, as well as 33 high school students. The instruments used in this research were material and media expert validation sheets as well as student mathematical pre-test and post-test questionnaires to determine the effectiveness of the media. 1The results of the learning media feasibility assessment by the material validator show that the media received an assessment of 89.64% and the results of the learning media feasibility assessment by the media validator were 94.10% so that both are included in the very valid category and are suitable for testing. At the implementation stage, the average feasibility score reviewed by teachers and students was 92.5%. Then a test was carried out and a pre-test score of 43 was obtained and a post-test score of 87, so it can be concluded that there was an increase in the respondents' knowledge. Then the data was analyzed using the N-Gain test and obtained a percentage of 76% and an N-Gain score of 0.76, which shows that website-based mathematics educational game media can be said to be effective in improving high school students' mathematical understanding.

Additional Information: Pendidikan matematika menempati peran yang signifikan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif. Namun, hal tersebut seringkali tidak sejalan dengan pemahaman konsep yang dimiliki siswa tingkat SMA. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMA, seperti game edukasi berbasis website. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan yang menggunakan jenis penelitian Research and Development dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian meliputi 2 orang guru sebagai validator ahli materi dan 2 orang guru sebagai validator ahli media, serta 33 siswa SMA. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu lembar validasi ahli materi dan media serta kuesioner pre-test dan post-test matematis siswa untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari media pembelajaran. Hasil penilaian kelayakan media pembelajaran oleh validator materi menunjukkan bahwa media mendapatkan penilaian sebesar 90% dan hasil penilaian kelayakan media pembelajaran oleh validator media sebesar 95% sehingga keduanya ternasuk dalam kategori sangat valid dan layak untuk diuji cobakan. Pada tahap implementasi, didapatkan rata-rata nilai kelayakan yang ditinjau oleh guru dan siswa sebesar 92,5%. Kemudian dilaksanakan uji dan diperoleh nilai pre-test sebesar 43 dan nilai post-test sebesar 87, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis responden. Kemudian data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain dan mendapatkan persentase sebesar 76% dan nilai N-Gain score sebesar 0,76 yang mana hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media game edukasi matematika berbasis website dapat dikatakan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematis siswa SMA.
