Abstract

The change of curriculum to an independent curriculum encourages educators to be able to compile their own learning tools in the form of independent curriculum teaching modules that are interactive and according to the needs of students, but there is still a lack of educator understanding of the preparation of learning tools. In addition, the low scientific reasoning ability of students caused by the lack of student learning experience and the opportunity for students to play an active role so that teaching materials with a socio-scientific issues approach are needed, but a suitable topic is required in using this approach, one of the suitable topics is global warming topic contained in Phase E of the Independent Curriculum. The purpose of this research is to produce an independent curriculum teaching module based on socio-scientific issues on global warming material. This research uses R&D (Research and Development), with a 4-D model (define, design, develop, disseminate), but this research only reaches the develop stage. Aikens validation assessment with an error rate of 5% obtained Vcount ≥Vtable (Vtable = 0.79). The validation results obtained Aiken's material validation value of 0.93 and media of 0.92 means valid. In addition, based on the results of the responses, 30 students obtained the "very good" category with a score of 89%. Thus, the independent curriculum teaching module based on socio-scientific issues on global warming material is declared valid and feasible to use as learning media.

Additional Information: Perubahan kurikulum menjadi kurikulum merdeka mendorong pendidik untuk dapat menyusun perangkat pembelajaran sendiri berupa modul ajar kurikulum merdeka yang interaktif dan sesuai kebutuhan peserta didik tetapi masih kurangnya pemahaman pendidik terhadap penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran. Selain itu, rendahnya kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa yang disebabkan kurangnya pengalaman belajar siswa dan kesempatan siswa berperan aktif sehingga diperlukan perangkat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan socio-scientific issues, tetapi dibutuhkan topik yang sesuai dalam menggunakan pendekatan tersebut, salah satu topik yang cocok ialah topik pemanasan global yang terdapat pada Fase E Kurikulum Merdeka. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan modul ajar kurikulum merdeka berbasis socio-scientific issues pada materi pemanasan global. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian R&D (Research and Development), dengan model 4-D (define, design, develop, disseminate), tetapi pada penelitian ini hanya sampai tahap develop. Penilaian validasi Aikens dengan tingkat kesalahan 5% diperoleh Vhitung ≥ Vtabel (Vtabel = 0,79). Hasil validasi diperoleh nilai validasi Aiken’s materi sebesar 0,93 dan media sebesar 0,92 artinya valid. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil respon 30 peserta didik memperoleh kategori “sangat baik” dengan nilai nilai sebesar 89%. Dengan demikian, modul ajar kurikulum merdeka berbasis socio�scientific issues pada materi pemanasan global ini dinyatakan valid dan layak digunakan sebagai perangkat pembelajaran.
