Abstract

This study aims to determine how the improvement of students' creative thinking skills after being treated with the STEM-based PjBL learning model on Light wave material. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method, with a pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group design research approach. The population of this study were all students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 13 Tangerang Regency. The samples of this study were XI MIPA 1 class as the experimental class and XI MIPA 2 class as the control class. The posttest results showed that the average value of the experimental class obtained a higher value than the control class. This is shown by hypothesis testing with the man whitney test obtained sig. (2-tailed) 0.006. The n-gain results for the experimental class were 0.68 with a medium category and the control class was 0.67 with a medium category. The results of the observation sheet percentage in the experimental class from various aspects including fluency (thinking fluently) with a percentage of 87%, flexibility (flexible thinking) with a percentage of 87%, originality (original thinking) with a percentage of 67%, elaboration (detailed thinking) with a percentage of 93%, curiosity with a percentage of 94% and challenge with a percentage of 97%.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa setelah diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran PjBL berbasis STEM pada materi gelombang Cahaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen, dengan pendekatan penelitian pretest dan posttest nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 13 Kabupaten Tangerang. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil posttest menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol. Hal ini ditunjukkan uji hipotesis dengan uji man whitney diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,006. Hasil n-gain untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,68 dengan kategori sedang dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,67 dengan kategori sedang. Hasil presentase lembar observasi pada kelas ekperimen dari berbagai aspek diantaranya fluency (berpikir lancar) dengan presentase sebesar 87%, flexibility (berpikir luwes) dengan presentase sebesar 87%, originality (berpikir orisinil) dengan presentase sebesar 67%, elaboration (berpikir detail) dengan presentase sebesar 93%, rasa ingin tahu dengan presentase sebesar 94% dan tantangan dengan presentase sebesar 97%.
