Abstract
The phenomenon of students sharing their feelings and experiences while working on their thesis via social media is nothing new. There are many cases circulating on social media of students who have difficulty working on their thesis and have no place to share it and end up tragically such as committing suicide or choosing shortcuts such as having an affair with a teaching staff. Researchers are interested in conducting research on self-disclosure made by students during the thesis preparation process through the comments column of the Instagram account @ibuiramira. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods. The research results show that followers are open in expressing their feelings through the @ibuiramira comments column, including in the hidden area window. The impact felt by followers after disclosing themselves through the Instagram comment column @ibuiramira was feeling relieved because they had a platform to channel their emotions, then feeling empathy by seeing comments from other followers with similar experiences regarding working on their thesis. All informants have open areas, some informants in this study are included in the blind area window, and others have hidden areas, and no unknown areas were found in all informants.

| Additional Information: | Fenomena mahasiswa membagikan perasaan dan pengalamannya saat mengerjakan skripsi melalui media sosial bukanlah hal yang baru. Banyak beredar di sosial media kasus mahasiswa yang kesulitan mengerjakan skripsi dan tidak memiliki tempat untuk berbagi dan berakhir dengan tragis seperti bunuh diri atau memilih jalan pintas seperti melakukan hubungan gelap dengan tenaga pengajar. Peneliti tertarik melakukan penelitian tentang pengungkapan diri yang dilakukan mahasiswa selama proses penyusunan skripsi melalui kolom komentar akun Instagram @ibuiramira. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterbukaan followers dalam mengungkapkan perasaannya melalui kolom komentar @ibuiramira termasuk pada jendela area tersembunyi. Dampak yang dirasakan followers setelah melakukan pengungkapan diri melalui kolom komentar Instagram @ibuiramira adalah merasa lega karena memiliki wadah untuk menyalurkan emosi, kemudian merasakan adanya empati dengan melihat komentar followers lain dengan pengalaman serupa tentang pengerjaan skripsi. Semua informan memiliki wilayah terbuka, sebagian informan dalam penelitian ini termasuk dalam jendela wilayah buta, dan sebagian lainnya memiliki wilayah tersembunyi, dan tidak ditemukan unknown area pada semua informan. | |||||||||
