Abstract
Application of Contextual Learning with Nearpod Media for Critical Thinking Ability of Junior High School Students. Script. The department of Mathematics Education. Faculty of Teaching and Science Education. Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. 2024. This study was motivated by the low mathematical critical thinking skills of junior high school students. So that learning is needed that can improve these abilities. Contextual learning with nearpod media is believed to be able to improve mathematical critical thinking skills in students. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 7 Serang in the 2022/2023 academic year which aims to see the application of contextual learning with nearpod media on students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The research method used in this study was quasi-experimental with the nonequivalent pretest posttest control group design. This study involved two classes consisting of experimental and control classes. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Serang. The samples of this study were class VIIF as the experimental class and VIIG as the control class. The instruments used in this study were test instruments, non-test instruments, interview guidelines and the research itself. The results of this study provide a conclusion that there is an increase in the mathematical critical thinking ability of students who use contextual learning with nearpod media compared to students who use conventional learning.

Sehingga dibutuhkan pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut. Pembelajaran kontekstual dengan media nearpod diyakini mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis pada siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 7 Serang tahun ajaran 2022/2023 yang bertujuan untuk melihat penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual dengan media nearpod terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi-eksperimental dengan jenis desain the nonequivalent pretest posttest control group design. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua kelas yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Serang. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIIF sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIIG sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa instrumen tes, instrumen non tes, pedoman wawancara serta penelitian itu sendiri. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kesimpulan bahwa adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran kontekstual dengan media nearpod dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. | |||||||||
