Abstract

This research aims to determine the planning and implementation of learning using a scientific approach, as well as to determine the results of learning independence in class V students after participating in learning using a scientific approach. The research method that researchers use is descriptive qualitative, using triangulation techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects believed to be teachers, principals and students at SDN Semper Barat 11, North Jakarta. By applying a scientific approach, students feel enthusiastic and enthusiastic during learning. The activity steps during the scientific learning process are, observing activities, questioning activities, information gathering activities, reasoning activities, and communicating activities. The results of this research are the development of students' learning independence after participating in learning activities using a scientific approach, including students being seen to be able to express their opinions, students being seen completing their own tasks, students being able to complete their tasks on time, and students being focused when participating learning activities.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik, serta untuk mengetahui hasil kemandirian belajar pada peserta didik kelas V setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Metode penelitian yang peneliti pergunakan ialah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan triangulasi teknik berupa wawancara, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Subjeknya yakin guru, kepala sekolah dan peserta didik di SDN Semper Barat 11 Jakarta Utara. Dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik peserta didik merasa bersemangat dan berantusias selama melaksanakan pembelajaran. Adapun langkah-langkah kegiatan selama proses pembelajaran saintifik yaitu, kegiatan mengamati, kegiatan menanya, kegiatan mengumpulkan informasi, kegiatan menalar, dan kegiatan mengkomunikasikan. Hasil dari penelitian ini ialah berkembangnya kemandirian belajar peserta didik setelah mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik, di antaranya peserta didik terlihat dapat mengemukakan pendapatnya, peserta didik terlihat menyelesaikan tugasnya sendiri, peserta didik dapat menyelesaikan tugasnya dengan tepat waktu, dan peserta didik fokus ketika mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran.
