Abstract

Pests which attack paddy crop in plants field is brown planthopper. Brown planthoppers (Nilaparvata lugens. Stal) can se the damage for paddy crop in the field, so it can reduce production level national rice. The objective of this research was to analyze the field of biotypes of brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens. Stal) from Serang District, Lebak District, and Pandeglang District in Banten Province. The research was conducted on April to July, 2014 at the Indonesian Centre for Rice Research Sukamandi – Subang. It used descriptive qualitative method. Identification of biotypes brown planthopper using 8 differential varieties TN1, Mudgo (Bph1), ASD7 (bph2), Rathu Heenati (Bph3), Babawee (bph4), ARC 10550 (bph5), Swarnalata (Bph6), PTB 33 (bph2+Bph3), 5 varieties from IRRI such as IR26, IR42, IR64, IR72, IR74. It also used 3 common varieties which planted in the field by the farmer Ciherang, Tiwi and Inpari 13, it repeated three times and the assessment using standard of IRRI. Scoring time was done when 90% check TN1 die or die completely is between 7-10 days after infestation. The result of brown planthopper biotypes test them Banten Province (Serang, Lebak, and Pandeglang) was biotype 4. it caused by varieties PTB33 which has endurance of gen (bph2 + Bph3) could hold out of the brown planthopper, whereas Bph1 gene (Mugdo) and bph2 (ASD7) could not maintain its endurance from brown planthopper. Additional Information: Hama yang sering menyerang pertanaman padi di lapangan yaitu wereng coklat. Wereng coklat (Nilaparvata lugens. Stal) adalah hama yang sangat merugikan pada pertanaman padi di lapang, sehingga dapat menurunkan tingkat produksi padi nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui biotipe wereng coklat lapangan (Nilaparvata lugens Stal.) dari Kabupaten Serang, Lebak, dan Pandeglang di Provinsi Banten. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2014 sampai dengan Juli 2014 di Rumah Kasa Balai Besar Penelitian Tanaman Padi, Sukamandi – Subang. Penelitian Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Identifikasi biotipe wereng coklat menggunakan 8 varietas diferensial yaitu TN1, Mudgo (Bph1), ASD7 (bph2), Rathu Heenati (Bph3), Babawee (bph4), ARC 10550 (bph5), Swarnalata (Bph6), PTB 33 (bph2+Bph3), 5 varietas yang diperoleh dari IRRI seperti IR26, IR42, IR64, IR72, IR74, digunakan pula 3 varietas padi yang biasa di tanam di lapangan oleh petani yaitu Ciherang, Tiwi dan Inpari 13, setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali dan penilaiannya menggunakan standar dari IRRI. Waktu skoring dilakukan pada saat 90% varietas cek rentan TN1 mati atau mati seluruhnya yaitu antara 7-10 hari setelah infestasi. Hasil pengujian biotipe wereng coklat yang berasal dari Provinsi Banten (Kabupaten Serang, Lebak, dan Pandeglang) adalah biotipe 4. hal ini dikarenakan varietas yang memiliki gen Bph1 (Mugdo) dan bph2 (ASD7) patah ketahanannya, sedangkan varietas padi yang mempunyai gen tahan digenik (bph2 + Bph3) seperti PTB33 tahan terhadap wereng coklat.
