Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of the mind map-based discovery learning model on historical thinking skills in class XI Indonesian history learning at SMA Negeri 1 Pontang. The research method used in this research is quasi-experimental. Sampling used non-probability sampling techniques. The research was carried out for 6 months. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that there is a significant influence of historical thinking abilities between students who use the mind map based discovery learning model and the problem based learning model. This is based on the results of hypothesis testing about historical thinking abilities using independent sample t-test calculations, it is known that the test value is 11,400 with Sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 (Sig. 2-tailed < 0.05. It can be concluded that there is an influence of mind map media on students' historical thinking abilities at SMA Negeri 1 Pontang. Based on the results of this research, the mind map-based discovery learning model can be recommended in history learning because it attracts curiosity and improves historical thinking skills. Students are able to understand basic concepts and good ideas in improving and enhancing cognitive skills and processes. It is proven that in the learning process students are more enthusiastic about learning history.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovey learning berbasis mind map terhadap kemampuan berpikir historis dalam pembelajaran sejarah Indonesia kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Pontang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif kuasi eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik non probability sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 6 Bulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh kemampuan berpikir historis yang signifikan pada siswa yang menggunakan model discovery learning berbasis mind map dengan model. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis soal kemampuan berpikir historis dengan perhitungan independent sample t-test diketahui nilai uji sebesar 11.400 dengan Sig. (2-tailed) 0,001 (Sig. 2-tailed < 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media mind map terhadap kemampuan berpikir historis siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Pontang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini model discovery learning berbasis mind map dapat direkomendasikan dalam pembelajaran sejarah karena menarik rasa penasaran dan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir historis. Siswa mampu memahami pengertian konsep dasar dan ide-ide yang baik dalam memperbaiki dan meningkatkan keterampilan dan proses kognitif. Terbukti dalam proses pembelajaran siswa lebih antusias mengikuti pembelajaran sejarah. | |||||||||
