Abstract
The main problem in this study is related to the relationship between parenting style and children's independence in Parungpanjang District, Bogor Regency. In the formation of children's independence, parenting style plays an important role where most of the child's time is spent in the family environment (home). To find out the relationship between parenting style (variable X) and children's independence (variable Y), researchers used a quantitative research approach and correlation data analysis techniques. With data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The total population in this study was 44,442 families, consisting of fathers, mothers and children. In determining the number of samples, the researcher used the Cluster Random Sampling method, namely the regional sampling technique used to determine the number of samples if the object under study was very large. This technique is also used with the intention to summarize the time and costs during data collection during the research. This method is carried out through 2 stages: first, determining which area will be sampled. Usually, at this stage the researcher takes the widest area first. The second stage is to determine the object in each selected area. With an error rate of 15%, the number of respondents is 44 people.

| Additional Information: | Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu terkait hubungan pola asuh orang tua dengan kemandirian anak di Kecamatan Parungpanjang Kabupaten Bogor. Dalam pembentukan kemandiriananak, pola asuh orang tua sangat berperan penting dimana sebagian waktu anak dihabiskan pada lingkungan keluarga (rumah). Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh orangtua (variabel X) dan kemandirian anak (variabel Y), peneliti menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dan Teknik analisis data korelasi. Dengan Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Adapun jumlah populasi pada penelitian ini sejumlah 44.442 keluarga, yang terdiri dari ayah, ibu dan anak. Dalam menentukan jumlah sampel, peneliti menggunakan metode Cluster Random Sampling yakni Teknik sampling daerah yang dgunakan untuk menentukan jumlah sampel apabila objek yang diteliti sangat luas. Teknik ini juga digunakan dengan maksud untuk meringkas waktu dan biaya selama pengambilan data saat penelitian berlangsung. Pada metode ini dilakukan melalui 2 tahapan: pertama, menentukan wilayah mana yang akan dijadikan sampel. Biasanya, pada tahap ini peneliti mengambil wilayah yang paling luas terlebih dahulu. Tahap kedua yakni menentukan objek pada tiap wilayah yang terpilih. Dengan tingkat kesalahan 15%, maka didapat jumlah responden sebanyak 44 orang. | |||||||||
