Abstract
This research aims to find out how critical thinking ability of students in mathematics learning is through the use of the Cikasungka II Elementary School Class IV (CPS) learning model. This research is based on the low critical thinking ability of students in mathematical learning. This type of research is quantitative research using quasiexperimental research methods and nonequivalent control group design. The samples from this study were Class IVA and Class IV B of Cikasungka II Elementary School, which numbered 55 students. 28 class IV A students and 27 class IV B students. The data collection technique is to use test techniques by pre-testing and post-testing. Its data analysis techniques use descriptive statistical analysis and inference statistical analysis. Research results show that the use of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model is better than before the implementation of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model. This is shown based on the final results of the calculation and data obtained by using the t-test namely thitung = 6.190 and ttable = 1.674. Because the count was greater than the table, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, so it came to the conclusion that the critical thinking ability of students using the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model is better than the critical thinking ability of students using the Direct Instruction model.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada pembelajaran matematika melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) kelas IV SDN Cikasungka II. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada pembelajaran matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen dan desain non equivalent control group. Sampel dari penelitian ini ialah kelas IV A dan kelas IV B SDN cikasungka II yang berjumalah 55 peserta didik. 28 peserta didik kelas IV A dan 27 peserta didik kelas IV B. Teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu menggunakan teknik tes dengan melakukan pre-test dan post-test. Teknik analisis datanya menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) lebih baik daripada sebelum diterapkannya model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS). Hal ini ditunjukkan berdasarkan hasil akhir perhitungan dan data yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan uji t yaitu thitung = 6,190 dan ttabel = 1,674. Dikarenakan thitung lebih besar dari ttabel, maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, sehingga mendapatkan kesimpulan bahwa Kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) lebih baik daripada kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung (Direct Instruction). | |||||||||
