Abstract
ABSTRACT ImprovingSpeaking Ability Through dialogue for Second Grade of SMPN 3 Solear Tangerang Ilah Rohilah 2223082383 The aim of this research was to investigate learning through dialogue in speaking ability. The research was conducted to find out whether learning through dialogue to improve students‟ speaking abilityand to find out students‟ response toward learning through dialogue. This research is Classroom action Research which consisted of four cycles. Each cycle consist of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The subject of thisresearch student at Second grade of SMPN 3 Solear Tangerang which comprised of 30 students. Observation sheet, test: petest and posttest, documentation. The research was considered successful Minimum Mastering Criteria (MMC) or KriteriaKetuntasan Minimal (KKM) was 70. The findings of the research showed that learning through dialoguecould improve students‟ speaking ability. In the first cycle, the students still did not reach Minimum Mastering Criteria (MMC), while in second cycle all of the students were able to reach MMC. The average score of pretest is39 the average score of posttest 1 is 65 and the average score of posttest2 is 81. It can be inferred, that learning through dialogue could improved the students‟ speaking ability. Keywords: speaking ability, dialogue
