Abstract
This study aims to determine the development of Calung Renteng Traditional Art in Cibaliung District, Pandeglang Regency in 2003-2020.This research method is a historical method, which includes Heuristics (source collection), Source Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography.The results of the research of the Cibaliung sub-district community as an agrarian society created calung together as a traditional art that functions to eliminate boredom and boredom while waiting for rice.The background of the emergence of calung art together is not known for certain, but it emerged in the 90s.The art of calung jointly and severally developed in 2003-2020.Before being inaugurated, calung jointly was only played in huma.After being inaugurated in 2003, it changed its function into folk performing arts, which were displayed in events organized by the community and the government.This shows a change in the function that occurs in the art of calung jointly.In order not to become extinct, the art of calung jointly adapts to the changing times.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Perkembangan Kesenian Tradisional Calung Renteng yang berada di Kecamatan Cibaliung, Kabupaten Pandeglang tahun 2003-2020. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode sejarah, yang meliputi Heuristik (pengumpulan sumber), Kritik Sumber, Interpretasi, dan Historiografi. Hasil penelitian masyarakat kecamatan Cibaliung sebagai masyarakat agrarismenciptakan calung renteng sebagai kesenian tradisional berfungsi menghilangkan bosan dan jenuh pada saat menunggu padi. Latar belakang munculnya kesenian calung renteng tidak diketahui secara pasti, namun sudah muncul pada tahun 90-an.Kesenian calung renteng mengalami perkembangan pada tahun 2003-2020. Sebelum diresmikan calung renteng hanya dimainkan di huma. Setelah diresmikan tahun 2003 berubah fungsi menjadi kesenian pertunjukan rakyat, yang ditampilkan dalam acara yang diselenggarakan masyarakat maupun pemerintah.Hal ini menunjukan adanya perubahan fungsi yang terjadi pada kesenian calung renteng.Agar tidak punah kesenian calung renteng beradaptasi dengan gerak zaman yang terus mengalami perubahan. | |||||||||
