Abstract

Sari Asih Serang Hospital is one of the major hospitals in Serang City with an activity level that can be said to be busy on every day. In line with the number of users from year to year, the number of private vehicle users for hospital transportation has increased. This has an impact on the increase in the volume of vehicles in the parking area of the Sari Asih Serang hospital. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics and needs of parking spaces at Sari Asih Serang hospital. The method applied in this study is to conduct a survey directly in the field to get the number of vehicles parked with the number of vehicles entering and leaving. Data analysis in this study is based on the Guidelines for Planning and Operation of Parking Facilities, Directorate General of Land Transportation (1998) Based on the results of the analysis obtained four-wheeled vehicle parking space at Sari Asih Serang Hospital is not accessible to vehicles. The addition of parking space for Sari Asih Serang Hospital for four-wheeled vehicles is currently 46 SRP. And based on the results of the analysis obtained a good parking pattern according to the standards of use and needs, then that is suitable for parking activities of four-wheeled vehicles with parking angles of 30º, 90º and parallel parking patterns.
