Abstract

Yasmin intersection is a signalized intersection that has four intersections, including the north arm is Jl. Raya Semplak, east arm is Jl. KH. Abdullah bin Nuh I, southern arm is Jl. Brigadier General Saptaji, and the western arm are Jl. Abdullah bin Nuh II. The condition of the intersection at Yasmin intersection is very crowded because the environmental conditions around the intersection are shopping areas, so that many vehicle activities come in and out which disrupt the effectiveness of the intersection. This study aims to analyze how much capacity and level of intersection performance and find out how alternative solutions to problems in the intersection performance. The method used to analyze intersection performance uses the 2014 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidance (PKJI) method, where the 2014 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines or PKJI method is a form of updating of the 1997 MKJI method that has long been used to analyze the performance of a road segment. Based on the results of data analysis it can be seen that the intersection capacity in the northern approach is 588 skr / hour, southern approach is 714 skr / hour, western approach is 473 cur / hour, and east approach is 510 skr / hour. Based on the results of data analysis it is known that the Yasmin intersection is close to saturation because in the western approach the degree of saturation (Dj) is 0.86 (Dj> 0.85; saturated), while the north, south and east approaches produce a degree of saturation (Dj) of 0.52.0.38 and 0.68 (DJ <0.85; unsaturated). The highest queue length is 94.62 m, the stop number at all intersections is 0.70 stops, and the average delay of the intersection produced is 43.09 det / cur and enter the service level (LOS) with level E (40 - 60 det / cur). To improve the performance of the Yasmin intersection, a short-term repair alternative was carried out by making a phase change where the results of degree of saturation produced for the northern approach were 0.54, southern approach = 0.45, Western approach = 0.64, and east approach 0.52 with delay the average intersection produced is 19.43. The intersection service level increases to C (15-25 seconds). Keywords: Degree of saturation, capacity, length of queue, signal intersection, delay
