Abstract
The realationship between teacher creativity and children’s cognitive abilities. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between teacher creativity and cognitive abilities of children age 5-6 years in Pabuaran district, Serang, Banten. The method used in this research is Quantitative Correlational using Purposive Sampling techniques and questionnaires as a tool to obtain research data. The population in this study were all teachers from preschool institution in Pabuaran district, totaling 26 institution. The sample taken in this studi was 8 institution consisting of 31 teachers and children age 5-6 years. The result of the data processing carried out by the researchers shows that normality of the data between the two variables produced a figure of 0,200>0,05, which means the data is normally distributed. There is a relationship between the variable teacher creativity andchildren’s cognitive abilities of 0,786, which means the level of relationship is the strong category and is in the range of 0,60-0,779.

| Additional Information: | Hubungan kreativitas guru dengan kemampuan kognitif anak, adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kreativitas guru dengan kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di Kecamatan Pabuaran, Kabupaten Serang, Banten. Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kuantitatif Korelasional (correlational) dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling dan angket sebagai alat untuk memperoleh data penelitian. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Guru lembaga paud yang terdapat di Kecamatan Pabuaran yang berjumlah 26 lembaga, adapun sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 8 lembaga yang terdiri dari 31 Guru dan anak usia 5-6 tahun. Hasil pengolahan data yang dilakukan oleh peneliti diketahui normalitas data antar dua variabel menghasilkan angka 0,200>0,05 yang artinya data berdistribusi normal. Terdapat hubungan antara variabel kreativitas guru dan kemampuan kognitif anak sebesar 0,786, yang artinya tingkat hubungan berada pada kategori kuat dan berada pada kisaran 0,60-0,799. Hasil dari perhitungan uji korealasi diketahui bahwa nilai rhitung lebih besar dari nilai rtabel (0,786>0,355). | |||||||||
