Abstract
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the learning by doing method on students' science process skills regarding static fluids. Research location at SMAN 1 Tirtayasa for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used is a quantitative research method. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The research population was all students in class XI Science High School at SMAN 1 Tirtayasa. The sample for this research was 32 students from class XI IPA 4 as the experimental class and 33 students from class XI IPA 1 as the control class. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this research were essay test questions with indicators of science process skills, student response questionnaires, science process skills observation sheets and learning implementation observation sheets, so there is an influence of the use of the learning by doing method on students' science process skills. The results of the t-test obtained > , namely 6.604>1.999. Significance 0.000 means the t value is significant (p=0.000 < 0.005), so there is an influence of using the learning by doing method on students' science process skills. The results of students' responses to learning using the learning by doing method were very good, obtaining results of 80% so that this method can improve the ability of science process skills, especially in learning the physics of static fluid materials.

Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari metode learning by doing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa materi fluida statis. Tempat penelitian di SMAN 1 Tirtayasa tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA di SMAN 1 Tirtayasa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 33 siswa kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah soal tes essay berindikator keterampilan proses sains, angket respon peserta didik, lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil uji-t memperoleh > yaitu 6,604 > 1,999 Signifikansi 0,000 artinya nilai t signifikan (p=0,000 < 0,005), maka terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode learning by doing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Hasil respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan metode learning by doing sangat baik memperoleh hasil sebesar 80% sehingga metode ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan keterampilan proses sains khususnya pada pembelajaran fisika materi fluida statis. | |||||||||
