Abstract

Juvenile delinquency can occur due to the influence of parental divorce. This research, method uses quantitative research methods using correlational techniques. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between two variables, namely X (parental divorce) and Y (juvenile delinquency). The samples in this study used purposive sampling techniques, namely research and sampling that was detected by the balance of the phone. The study sample consisted of 11 grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kota Serang, which was part of a population of 360 grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kota Serang. The results of the correlation analysis show that the value of Sig. 0.001 is less than 0.05 which means that there is an effect of parental divorce on juvenile delinquency. In addition, based on the calculation of the coefficient of determination test, Value 〖(R)〗^2 = 0.457 or 45.7%, which means the effect of parental divorce on juvenile delinquency is 45.7%. Based on these results, it is hoped that parents and schools can prevent juvenile delinquency through juvenile programs.
