Abstract
The aims of this study is to: (1) describe the history of the formation of the Lebak Chanting Pradana home industry in Bojongleles Village, Cibadak District of Lebak Regency, (2) describe the development of Lebak Chanting Pradana home industry in Bojongleles Village, Cibadak District of Lebak Regency in 2015 – 2019. The study uses historical methods concisting of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results showed that the Chanting Pradana industry was established in December 2015 and first produced on February 14, 2016. The owner of the Chanting Pradana industry is Mrs. Umsaroh. Before the establishment of the Chanting Pradana industry, the owner attended batik training in various regions, then related agencies such as the Lebak Regency Industry and Trade Office and the Lebak Regency government continued to provide full support so that the Chanting Pradana industry continued to grow and explore many motifs. The motifs contained in the Chanting Pradana Lebak industry have patterns, ornaments and socio-cultural characteristics of the Lebak Regency community that reflect the life of the Lebak Regency community. After attending many trainings, the owner of Chanting Pradana established a Lebak batik home industry located in Pancur Village, Bojongleles Village, Cibadak District, Lebak Regency. In the history of batik development in Lebak, the Lebak Government began to launch 12 batik motifs that have obtained Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). In 2017 Chanting Pradana successfully launched 4 new batik motifs including: Layur motif, Gacong motif, Curug Munding motif and Tangkil Sasiki motif. In its development, Lebak Chanting Pradana batik in 2015 - 2019 has experienced quite good development, this is indicated by the development of motifs, increased sales and an increase in the number of Human Resources (HR). In an effort to preserve it, there are challenges that arise, namely: increasing consumer demand for Chanting Pradana batik makes workers have to work extra. Furthermore, a response was given to the challenges that arose with efforts: involving the community around the industry in the manufacturing process. Batik waste in Chanting Pradana Industry is discharged through a three-stage process and has used a waste water treatment plant registered with the Lebak Regency Environmental Services.

| Additional Information: | Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan sejarah berdirinya industri rumahan batik Lebak Chanting Pradana di Desa Bojongleles Kecamatan Cibadak Kabupaten Lebak, (2) mendeskripsikan perkembangan industri rumahan batik Lebak Chanting Pradana di Desa Bojongleles Kecamatan Cibadak Kabupaten Lebak tahun 2015 – 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode historis yang terdiri dari heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa industri Chanting Pradana berdiri pada bulan Desember tahun 2015 dan pertama kali produksi pada 14 Februari 2016. Pemilik industri Chanting Pradana yaitu Ibu Umsaroh. Sebelum didirikannya industri Chanting Pradana, pemiliknya mengikuti pelatihan membatik di berbagai daerah, kemudian dinas - dinas terkait seperti Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Kabupaten Lebak maupun pemerintah Kabupaten Lebak terus memberikan dukungan secara penuh sehingga industri Chanting Pradana terus berkembang dan menggali banyak motif – motif. Adapun motif yang terkandung pada industri Chanting Pradana Lebak memiliki corak, ornament dan karakteristik sosial - budaya masyarakat Kabupaten Lebak yang mencerminkan kehidupan masyarakat Kabupaten Lebak. Setelah banyak mengikuti pelatihan, pemilik Chanting Pradana mendirikan industri rumahan batik Lebak yang bertempat di Kampung Pancur Desa Bojongleles Kecamatan Cibadak Kabupaten Lebak. Dalam sejarah perkembangan batik di Lebak, Pemerintah Lebak mulai meluncurkan 12 motif batik yang telah telah mendapatkan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI). Pada tahun 2017 Chanting Pradana berhasil meluncurkan 4 motif batik baru diantaranya: motif Layur, motif Gacong, motif Curug Munding dan motif Tangkil Sasiki. Dalam perkembangannya batik Lebak Chanting Pradana di tahun 2015 – 2019 telah mengalami perkembangan yang cukup baik, hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan adanya perkembangan motif, penjualan yang meningkat dan adanya penambahan pada jumlah Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). Dalam upaya melestarikannya terdapat tantangan yang muncul yaitu: meningkatnya permintaan konsumen akan batik Chanting Pradana membuat para pekerja harus bekerja lebih ekstra. Selanjutnya diberikan tanggapan atas tantangan yang muncul dengan upaya: melibatkan masyarakat sekitar industri dalam proses pembuatannya. Limbah batik di Industri Chanting Pradana dikeluarkan dengan melalui tiga proses tahapan dan sudah menggunakan instalasi pengolahan air limbah yang terdaftar pada Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Lebak. | |||||||||
