Abstract
The low gender equality in East Kalimantan Province has led to the province ranking third lowest in the Gender Development Index (GDI) in Indonesia in 2022. This study aims to analyze the influence of the ratio of life expectancy, the ratio of average years of schooling, per capita expenditure ratio, and the ratio of male and female labor force participation on economic growth. The data used in this study is from 10 districts/cities in East Kalimantan Province obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The data analysis method used in this study is panel data regression analysis. The study found that, partially, the per capita expenditure ratio and the labor force participation ratio have an influence on economic growth. However, the ratio of life expectancy and the ratio of average years of schooling do not have an impact on economic growth, partially. Based on the coefficient of determination test results, the model of this study meets the BLUE criteria. These results suggest the need for a birth control program to address the high dependency ratio and to increase the employment of women in the workforce.

| Additional Information: | Rendahnya kesetaraan gender di Provinsi Kalimantan Timur menjadikan capaian Indeks Pembangunan Gender (IPG) Provinsi Kalimantan Timur di tahun 2022 menempati peringkat terendah ketiga se-Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh rasio umur harapan hidup, rasio rata-rata lama sekolah, rasio pengeluaran per kapita, rasio tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja perempuan dan laki-laki terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Adapun dalam penelitian ini data yang digunakan adalah data pada 10 Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Kalimantan Timur yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) . Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi data panel. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil bahwa secara parsial rasio pengeluaran per kapita dan rasio tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja memiliki pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Sedangkan, secara parsial rasio umur harapan hidup dan rasio rata-rata lama sekolah tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Berdasarkan hasil uji koefisien determinasi model penelitian ini sesuai dengan kriteria BLUE. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa perlu adanya program pengendalian angka kelahiran untuk mengatasi tingginya rasio ketergantungan serta meningkatkan penyerapan tenaga kerja perempuan pada angkatan kerja. | |||||||||
