Abstract

This study aims to help students in reducing academic stress by providing relaxation music treatment at SMA Negeri 4 Pandeglang. This research uses quantitative experimental method. The population was 420 students of class XII in SMA Negeri 4 Pandeglang in 2023/2024. The sampling technique Purposive Sampling and gets 10 students who have high academic stress to then be given treatment. The analysis technique used in hypothesis testing is Wilcoxon signed ranks test. The results of the study were seen from the implementation of the pre-test and post-test, there was a significant decrease from the average value of 36.5 to 8.2. Analysis of the Wilcoxon signed ranks test in the hypothesis decision-making process, the value of 0.005 is lower than 0.05, therefore it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. Thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Statistically, it can be concluded that relaxation music can reduce academic stress in students.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu siswa dalam mereduksi stres akademik dengan pemberian treatment musik relaksasi di SMA Negeri 4 Pandeglang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuantitatif. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 420 siswa kelas XII di SMA Negeri 4 Pandeglang tahun 2023/2024. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling dan mendapatkan 10 siswa yang memiliki stres akademik tinggi untuk kemudian diberikan treatment. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam pengujian hipotesis yaitu Wilcoxon signed ranks test. Hasil penelitian dilihat dari pelaksanaan pre-test dan post-test adanya penurunan secara signifikan dari nilai rata-rata sebesar 36,5 menjadi 8,2. Analisis uji Wilcoxon signed ranks test pada proses pengambilan keputusan hipotesis, nilai 0.005 lebih rendah dari pada 0.05, maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis dinyatakan diterima. Dengan demikian Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Secara data statistik dapat disimpulkan bahwa musik relaksasi dapat mereduksi stres akademik pada siswa.
