Abstract

Abstract Facedetectionplaysanimportantstep inface recognition.There are many technicfor face recognizeassumethat imageshavesamedimensionand background.Forreal, this assumption always notoccure.Because facecan turn up with variousscale and position in image with various background. This research usecombination of color-based method and feature-based method. There is 2mainstep in this research. First,find face candidate usingskinsegmentation inYCbCrcolor space. Second, extract the featuresof face used high towide ratioof facecandidate, extract mouth and eyes feature.The research result shows 66,67%detection rate for45 color image with complex background. Additional Information: Abstrak Deteksi wajah merupakan tahapan awal yang penting dalam proses pengenalanwajah.Teknik-teknik pengenalan wajah yang dilakukan selama ini banyak yangmenggunakan asumsi bahwa data wajah yang tersedia memiliki ukuran yang samadan latar belakangyang seragam. Di dunia nyata, asumsi ini tidak selalu berlakukarena wajah dapat muncul dengan berbagai ukuran dan posisi di dalam citra dandengan latar belakang yang bervariasi.Penelitian ini menggunakan kombinasi darimetode color-based dan feature-based. Terdapat dua tahapan utama dalampenelitian ini. Pertama,penemuan kandidat wajah dengan melakukansegmentasikulit pada ruang warna YCbCr. Kedua, ekstraksi fitur wajah menggunakan rasiotinggi terhadap lebar kandidat wajah, pencarian area mulut dan pencarian areamata. Hasil dari penelitian ini, dari pendeteksian pada 45 citra warna denganbackgroundkompleks didapat presentase keberhasilan sebesar 66,67%. Kata kunci: Deteksi wajah,color-based method,feature-based method.
