Abstract
Analysis of students' understanding of mathematical concepts in solving story problems on set material based on SOLO (Structure of Observed Learning Outcome) taxonomy. Thesis Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of TeacherTraining and Education. Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University 2023. This research is related to the importance of students' mathematical understanding ability and what makes the set material classified as difficult. In solving mathematical problems, understanding is need as one of the tools used to solve mathematical problems by applying the SOLO taxonomy. This study aims to explain and describe the characteristics of students ability to understand mathematical concepts in solving story problems on trigonometric material based on SOLO taxonomy. The subjects of this study were 6 grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 South Tangerang who had received the set material. The instruments in this study are written test questions in the form of descriptions and semi-structured interviews with data analysis techniques carried out qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions. The results showed that in solving story problems in the set material, students with the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the low category experienced prestructural stages, medium categories in the complete prestructural and unistructural stages and incomplete in multistructural and relational without having extended abstracts and students with high category mathematical understanding abilities experienced prestructural stages, Unistructural, multistructural and relational completed with incomplete extended abstract. Overall, the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts is importan in solving mathematics on set material based on the SOLO taxonomy

Dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika diperlukan pemahaman sebagai salah satu alat yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah matematika dengan menerapkan taksonomi SOLO. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan menguraikan karakteristik kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi trigonometri berdasarkan taksonomi SOLO. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 6 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tangerang Selatan yang telah mendapatkan materi himpunan. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes tertulis berbentuk uraian dan wawancara semi terstruktur dengan teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi himpunan, siswa dengan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis kategori rendah mengalami tahapan prastrukural, kategori sedang pada tahapan prastruktural dan unistruktural lengkap serta tidak lengkap pada multistruktural dan relasional tanpa memiliki extended abstrak serta siswa dengan kemampuan pemahaman matematika kategori tinggi mengalami tahapan prastruktural, unistruktural, multistruktural dan relasional secara lengkap dengan extended abstrak secara tidak lengkap. Secara keseluruhan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa merupakan hal penting dalam menyelesaikan matematika pada materi himpunan berdasarkan taksonomi SOLO. | |||||||||
