Abstract
SLIDING EXCAVATIONBASEMENT ANALYSIS USING THE SOLDIERPILE WITH PLAXISSOFTWARE SUNAN DWI MANDA ABSTRACT Retaining wall is an important structure in the construction of a basementthat serves to resist lateral forces that occur on the ground behind. Soldier Pile isone of retaining wall type that is suitable for use in narrow land areas. The stability analysis of a retaining wall usetheRankinemethod. While, tocalculate the stability of slopes use theFelliniusandBishopmethod.One of therequirements of all of this method is the value of aresistance forcemust be greaterthan the forcesreceived by thestructure.Meanwhile, the other comparison for slopestability and the stability of the retaining wallweusedPLAXIS software. The calculation results of the safety factor value forslope stabilitywithoutSoldier PileuseFellenius,Bishopand PLAXIS respectivelyare 0,627, 0,66 and0,621.Thevalue of safety factors areobtained byusing the rankine method forovertuning stability is 1,714, shear stability is 1,714, and bearing capacity is 3,742.meanwhile, thevalue of safety factor which is obtainedby using plaxis software is1,858.The results showed that the structure of the retaining wall useSoldier Pilediameter 0,8 m and height 15 m were able to resist forces that occured.
