Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) and Potassium fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.). The research was conducted from June to August 2023. The experimental design used in this study was a randomized block design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the application of PGPR (P) which consists of 4 levels, namely: p0 without PGPR treatment (control), p1 20 ml/L, p2 30 ml/L, and p3 40 ml/L. The second factor is potassium fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely: k0 without potassium fertilizer treatment (control), k1 150 kg/ha (0.6 g/polybag), k2 200 kg/ha (0.8 g/polybag), and k3 250 kg/ha (1 g/polybag). The results of this study showed that PGPR treatment gave the effect of increasing growth on the number of leaves parameter at 5 weeks after planting (WAP) and gave an increase in yield on the number of tubers parameter. Potassium fertilizer treatment gave the effect of increasing yield on the parameters of tuber diameter, plant wet weight, and plant dry weight. There was an interaction between PGPR treatment and potassium fertilizer which gave an increase in the parameters of plant height at 5 weeks after planting (WAP), tuber length, and weight loss.

Additional Information: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria dan Pupuk kalium terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni hingga Agustus 2023. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak kelompok dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor yang pertama adalah aplikasi PGPR (P) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perocbaan yaitu p0 tanpa perlakuan (kontrol), p1 20 ml/l, p2 30 ml/l, dan p3 40 ml/l. Faktor kedua adalah pupuk kalium yang terdiri dari 4 taraf percobaan yaitu k0 tanpa perlakuan (kontrol), k1 150 kg/ha (0,6 g/polybag), k2 200 kg/ha (0,8 g/polybag), dan k3 250 kg/ha (1 g/polybag). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perlakuan PGPR memberikan pengaruh peningkatan pertumbuhan terhadap parameter jumlah daun pada 5 MST dan memberikan peningkatan hasil terhadap parameter jumlah umbi. Perlakuan pupuk kalium memberikan pengaruh peningkatan hasil terhadap parameter diameter umbi, berat basah tanaman, dan berat kering tanaman. Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan PGPR dan pupuk kalium yang memberikan peningkatan terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman 5 MST, panjang umbi, dan susut bobot.
