Abstract

An air conditioning system that regulates the temperature and humidity of indoor air in its operation is expected to produce the desired temperature, but the space required must be suitable to improve the working system of refrigeration. The aim of this research is to realize an innovation to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of using a zeolite layer in the refrigeration test chamber, then analyzing the effect of changes in temperature increase from comfortable temperature to ambient temperature, namely 23-30°C. The method used in this research is an experimental method, where the zeolite layer testing will be compared with fiberglass and styrofoam layers. Obtained data results from refrigeration testing on each layer at the FT Untirta Energy Conversion Laboratory. Testing without loading the Fiberglass lining lamp Actual COP 4.90 Efficiency 71.58%, Styrofoam Actual COP 4.93 Efficiency 71.10%, Zeolite Actual COP 5.32 Efficiency 78.90%. Then, with the influence of a 201 watt loading lamp, the Fiberglass layer has an Actual COP of 4.92, the efficiency is 71.16%, Styrofoam has an Actual COP of 4.94, the efficiency is 71.82%, Zeolite has an Actual COP of 4.94, the efficiency is 73.47%. The difference in temperature and time ratio between the three types of layers, without light loading on the fiberglass layer at a temperature of 30°C is at 400 seconds, Styrofoam at 30°C is 580 seconds, Zeolite at 400 seconds the temperature is at 26.67°C then 580 second the temperature was at 27.43 °C. With a 201 watt lamp load on the Fiberglass layer at a temperature of 30°C it was at 360 seconds, the Styrofoam layer at a temperature of 30°C was at 440 seconds, the Zeolite layer reached 360 seconds, the temperature achieved was still at 26.14°C then at 440 The second the temperature reached was still at 27 °C. with the results of data obtained from testing that the use of zeolite in the room lining can increase the Coefficient of Performance and cooling efficiency in the refrigeration system.

Additional Information: Sistem pengkondisian udara yang mengatur temperatur dan kelembaban udara dalam ruangan dalam pengoperasiannya diharapkan dapat menghasilkan temperatur yang diinginkan, namun ruangan yang dibutuhkan harus sesuai dalam meningkatkan sistem kerja dari refrigerasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mewujudkan sebuah inovasi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi menggunakan lapisan zeolit pada ruang uji refrigerasi, kemudian menganalisis pengaruh perubahan kenaikan temperatur dari temperatur nyaman ke temperatur lingkungan yaitu 23-30°C. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode eksperimen, dimana pengujian lapisan zeolit akan dibandingkan dengan lapisan fiberglass dan styrofoam. Didapatkan hasil data pada pengujian refrigerasi pada masing-masing lapisan di Laboratorium Konversi Energi FT Untirta. Pengujian tanpa pembebanan lampu lapisan Fiberglass COP Aktual 4,90 Efisiensinya 71,58%, Styrofoam COP Aktual 4,93 Efesiensinya 71,10%, Zeolit COP Aktual 5,32 Efesiensinya 78,90%. Kemudian dengan pengaruh lampu pembebanan 201 watt lapisan Fiberglass COP Aktual 4,92 Efisiensinya 71,16%, Styrofoam COP Aktual 4,94 Efisiensinya 71,82%, Zeolit COP Aktual 4,94 Efisiensinya 73,47%. Selisih perbandingan temperatur dan waktu antara ketiga jenis lapisan, Tanpa pembebanan lampu pada lapisan fiberglass pada temperatur 30°C berada di 400 detik, styrofoam pada 30°C waktu berada 580 detik, Zeolit pada 400 detik temperatur berada di 26,67°C kemudian 580 detik temperatur berada di 27,43 °C. Dengan pembebanan lampu 201 watt pada lapisan Fiberglass saat di temperatur 30°C berada di 360 detik, lapisan styrofoam saat temperatur 30°C berada di 440 detik, lapisan Zeolit mencapai 360 detik temperatur yang dicapai masih berada di 26,14°C kemudian dengan 440 Detik temperatur yang dicapai masih berada di 27 °C. dengan hasil data yang diperoleh dari pengujian bahwa penggunaan zeolit dalam lapisan ruangan dapat meningkatkan Coefficient of Performance dan efisiensi pendinginan pada sistem refrigerasi.
