Abstract
One of the important education problems today is the lack of equitable distribution of education quality in almost every region in Indonesia. The quality of education is one of the important factors to realize quality education through equitable distribution of education and improvement of the education system. Efforts made by the government to encourage the improvement and equity of education quality in Indonesia are by issuing a policy of the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 1 of 2021 concerning the Admission of New Students (PPDB) through the zoning system. Several local governments have implemented the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 1 of 2021, one of which is the Regional Government of Banten Province. To support the implementation of PPDB activities for the 2021-2022 academic year, the Banten Provincial Education Office issued technical guidelines for PPDB at the Banten Provincial State High School level which was strengthened through Banten Governor Regulation Number 17 of 2021 concerning the Admission of New Students in Senior High Schools, State Vocational High Schools, and State Special Schools in Banten Province.

| Additional Information: | Salah satu masalah pendidikan yang penting saat ini adalah kurangnya pemerataan mutu pendidikan hampir di setiap daerah di Indonesia. Mutu pendidikan merupakan salah satu faktor penting untuk mewujudkan pendidikan yang berkualitas melalui pemerataan pendidikan dan perbaikan sistem pendidikan. Upaya yang dilakukan pemerintah untuk mendorong peningkatan dan pemerataan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia yaitu dengan mengeluarkan kebijakan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nomor 1 Tahun 2021 tentang Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) melalui sistem zonasi. Beberapa pemerintah daerah telah menerapkan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayan Nomor 1 Tahun 2021, salah satunya Pemerintah Daerah Provinsi Banten. Untuk mendukung pelaksanaan kegiatan PPDB tahun pelajaran 2021-2022, Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Banten menerbitkan petunjuk teknis PPDB jenjang SMA Negeri Provinsi Banten yang diperkuat melalui Peraturan Gubernur Banten Nomor 17 Tahun 2021 tentang Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru pada Sekolah Menengah Atas, Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri, dan Sekolah Khusus Negeri di Provinsi Banten. | ||||||
