Abstract

Citronella belongs to the graminae plants which has the potential to produce citronella oil. One of the many micro nutrients needed by graminae plants is silica. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving nanosilicate fertilizer concentration on citronella plant growth. This research was carried out from June to October 2022 at the experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Cikuya Village, Karang Kitri Village, Pabuaran District, Serang, Banten. Arranged using a one-factor Randomized Block Design, namely the concentration of nanosilicate fertilizer, consisting of six levels and repeated four times so that there are 24 experimental units. The results showed that 25 ml/L of nanosilica fertilizers had an effect on plant height at 4 week after plant with an average value of 48,38 cm and had no effect on the variables of the number of tillers, the number of leaves, fresh weight of the crown, fresh weight of the roots, dry weight of the crown, dry weight of the roots and the ratio of the crown roots.

Additional Information: Serai termasuk tanaman graminae yang berpotensi menghasilkan minyak serai wangi. Salah satu unsur hara mikro yang dibutuhkan tanaman graminae adalah silika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian konsentrasi pupuk nanosilika terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman serai wangi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai dengan Oktober 2022 di Lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Desa Cikuya, Desa Karang Kitri, Kecamatan Pabuaran, Serang, Banten. Disusun dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok satu faktor yaitu konsentrasi pupuk nanosilika yang terdiri dari enam taraf dan diulang sebanyak empat kali sehingga terdapat 24 satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk nanosilika dosis 25 ml/L berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 4 minggu setelah tanam dengan nilai rata-rata 48,38 cm dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel jumlah anakan, jumlah daun, segar. bobot tajuk, bobot segar akar, bobot kering tajuk, bobot kering akar dan perbandingan akar tajuk.
