Abstract
Extracurricular is a school activity that is not included at the class, The extracurricular aims to hone the potential that exists in students. With the extracurricular at school can support the character development of students very well. Cause it addition to educators knowing the potential of learning, learners themselves can also channel their talents and interests according to their potential. Extracurricular activities can help students in forming character and as a place for students to develop their potential. This study aims to describe: (1) The contribution process of the extracurricular program of the Juvenile Red Cross (PMR) in the formation of self-character and social attitudes of students (2) The results of the formation of student self-character (3) social attitudes of students through the Red Cross extracurricular program at SMAN 5 Serang. In this study, researchers use a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data collection techniques and guidelines used are observation, interview and documentation. The data sources of this study amounted to 12 people, consisting of 1 coach, 1 trainer and 10 members of the Juvenile Red Cross extracurricular program. Based on the results of research that has showed that: (1) The overall contribution process of the PMR extracurricular in the formation of self-character and social attitude of the participants goes quite well (2) There are 8 characters of self (3) There are 3 aspects of social attitudes from the results of the Juvenile Red Cross extracurricular program at SMAN 5 Serang.

Additional Information: | Ekstrakurikuler adalah kegiatan sekolah yang tidak ada dalam mata pelajaran di sekolah, namun kegiatan ekstrakurikuler ini memiliki tujuan guna mengasah potensi yang ada dalam diri peserta didik. Dengan adanya ekstrakurikuler di sekolah dapat menunjang pendidikan karakter peserta didik dengan sangat baik. Karena selain pendidik mengetahui potensi peserta didik, peserta didik sendiri juga dapat menyalurkan bakat dan minatnya sesuai potensi yang dimilikinya. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dapat membantu peserta didik dalam membentuk karakter dan sebagai tempat binaan peserta didik dalam mengembangkan potensinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Proses kontribusi program ekstrakurikuler Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) dalam pembentukan karakter diri dan sikap sosial siswa (2) Hasil pembentukan karakter diri siswa (3) Hasil pembentukan sikap sosial siswa melalui program ekstrakurikuler Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) di SMAN 5 Kota Serang. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Adapun teknik dan pedoman pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sumber data dari penelitian ini berjumlah 12 orang, yang terdiri dari 1 pembina, 1 pelatih dan 10 anggota program ekstrakurikuler Palang Merah Remaja (PMR). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa (1) Secara keseluruhan proses kontribusi dari program ekstrakurikuler Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) dalam pembentukan karakter diri dan sikap sosial siswa berjalan cukup baik (2) Terdapat 8 karakter diri yang (3) Terdapat 3 aspek sikap sosial dari hasil program ekstrakurikuler Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) di SMAN 5 Kota Serang. | |||||||||
