Abstract

Availability of the right raw materials is a must to ensure the smooth production process. PT Krakatau Tirta Industri has poor inventory control so that it can result in a shortage or excess of inventory where it can result in a buildup of inventory which risks harming the company. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach to the results of statistical calculations. The quantitative approach in this study resulted in optimal raw material control using the Continuous Review Model. The inventory control model developed through the Continuous Review Model has three decision variables and one objective function. Model decision variables include order lot size, reorder point (r) and safety stock (Ss). The objective function of the model is the total inventory cost. The results of the development of the Continuous Review Model inventory control model provide an optimal solution for the company because it is able to minimize the total cost of aluminum sulfate raw material inventory of Rp.67,782,020. With a total inventory of aluminum sulfate raw material of 211,156Kg and. The reorder point (r) of aluminum sulfate raw material is 15,207Kg. For the safety stock (Ss) of ethylene raw material is 2,838Kg.

Additional Information: Ketersediaan bahan baku yang tepat menjadi suatu keharusan demi menjamin kelancaran proses produksi. PT Krakatau Tirta Industri memiliki pengendalian persediaan yang menimbulkan penumpukan di dalam gudang dapat mengakibatkan penumpukan persediaan yang dapat mengurangi kualitas bahan baku dan berisiko merugikan perusahaan. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif hasil perhitungan statistik. Pendekatan kuantitatif pada penelitian ini menghasilkan pengendalian bahan baku optimal menggunakan Continuous Review Model. Model pengendalian persediaan yang dikembangkan melalui Continuous Review Model memiliki tiga variabel keputusan dan satu fungsi tujuan. Variabel keputusan model diantaranya ukuran lot pemesanan, titik pemesanan ulang (r) dan persediaan pengaman (Ss). Fungsi tujuan model adalah ongkos total persediaan. Hasil pengembangan model pengendalian persediaan Continuous Review Model memberikan solusi yang optimal bagi perusahaan karena mampu meminimalkan ongkos total persediaan bahan baku aluminium sulfat sebesar Rp.67.782.020.. Dengan jumlah persediaan bahan baku aluminium sulfat sebesar 211.156Kg dan. Titik pemesanan kembali (r) bahan baku aluminium sulfat sebesar 15.207Kg. Untuk persediaan pengaman (Ss) bahan baku ethylene sebesar 2.838Kg.
