Abstract

Make up skills training for people with hearing disabilities is designed to make up themselves, an learn their independence so that they have sufficient life provisions to face the future, independently through to mak up skills training process, especially participants with hearing disabilities will ultimately ba able to develop themselves and have life skills, this research aims to describe: 1) implementation of cosmetology skills training for people with hearing disabilities at the Banten Province Manpower and Transmigration Service; 2) supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing the cosmetology skills program; 3) the impact of the cosmetology skills program in empowering people with hearing disabilities. This research uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were the Banten Province Manpower and Transmigration Service, cosmetology skills program tutors, and cosmetology skills training participants. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observation and documentation methods. The researcher is the main instrument in conducting research which is assisted by interview guidelines, observation guidelines and documentation guidelines. The data analysis techniques used are data display, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. Triangulation is carried out to explain the validity of the data using sources and methods. The results of the research show that: 1) the implementation of cosmetology skills training is carried out to help people with hearing disabilities to be more empowered, therefore this skills program was carried out with preparation stages, the implementation process was carried out by providing theoretical material, demonstration of cosmetology tools, mentoring and practice and evaluation; 2) supporting factors for cosmetology skills, namely positive responses from the community, especially the community of people with hearing disabilities, high willingness of trainees to take part in training, trained and adequate human resources, cooperation with other parties, while inhibiting factors are the child's ability to differences in receiving training, different life backgrounds of children, available facilities are still relatively lacking; 3) the impact of the cosmetology skills program is that training participants can increase their skills so they can open up business opportunities and be more independent, a sense of satisfaction from managers and instructors seeing their students succeed in society.

Additional Information: Pelatihan keterampilan tata rias untuk penyandang disabilitas rungu dirancang untuk merias diri sendiri dan belajar kemandirian mereka agar memiliki bekal hidup yang cukup untuk menghadapi masa depan, secara mandiri melalui proses pelatihan keterampilan tata rias khususnya peserta penyandang disabilitas rungu pada akhirnya mampu mengembangkan dirinya dan dan memiliki keterampilan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) pelaksanaan pelatihan keterampilan tata rias untuk penyandang disabilitas rungu di Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Provinsi Banten; 2) faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaan pelatihan keterampilan tata rias; 3) dampak program keterampilan tata rias dalam memberdayakan penyandang disabilitas rungu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Tranmigrasi Provinsi Banten, tutor program ketrampilan tata rias, dan peserta pelatihan keterampilan tata rias. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Peneliti merupakan instrumen utama dalam melakukan penelitian yang di bantu oleh pedoman wawancara, pedoman observasi, dan pedoman dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah display data, reduksi data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Trianggulasi yang dilakukan untuk menjelaskan keabsahan data dengan menggunakan sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pelaksanaan pelatihan keterampilan tata rias dilakukan untuk membantu penyandang disabilitas rungu agar lebih berdaya, oleh karena itu program keterampilan ini dilakukan dengan tahapan persiapan, proses pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dengan pemberian materi teori, peragaan alat-alat tata rias, pendampingan dan praktek serta evaluasi; 2) faktor pendukung keterampilan tata rias yaitu tanggapan yang positif dari komunitas khususnya komunitas penyandang disabilitas rungu, kemauan yang tinggi dari peserta pelatihan dalam mengikuti pelatihan, sumber daya manusia yang terlatih dan memadai, adanya kerjasama dengan pihak lain, sedangkan faktor penghambatnya yaitu kemampuan anak yang berbeda-beda dalam menerima pelatihan, latar belakang kehidupan anak yang berbeda-beda, fasilitas yang tersedia masih relatif kurang; 3) dampak program keterampilan tata rias yaitu bagi peserta pelatihan dapat menambah keterampilan sehingga bisa membuka peluang usaha dan lebih mandiri, rasa kepuasan dari pengelola dan instruktur melihat peserta didiknya berhasil di masyarakat.
