Abstract

Monitoring and protecting lithium batteries is an important aspect of lithium-ion battery use. Lithium-ion batteries are a source of electricity that is commonly used in various devices, such as cellphones, laptops, electric vehicles, and others. The scope of the research is the design of a monitoring system that can be viewed via a 2x16 LCD which displays current and temperature levels as well as protection built based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller. The test results for charging the battery with a 10 WP solar panel produced a total current of 3.56Ah in one day. Battery discharge test results without load, input voltage 4 to. 12V produces a voltage in the range of 5.1 to 5.1. 5.2V. The relay is active when the current reaches 1 A and the temperature is 50oC. The battery discharge test results with a load show a voltage drop of up to 11.26V, and the current flowing is stable at 0.3A.

Additional Information: Pemantauan dan perlindungan baterai litium merupakan aspek penting dalam penggunaan baterai litium-ion. Baterai litium-ion adalah sumber daya yang umum digunakan di berbagai perangkat, seperti ponsel, laptop, kendaraan listrik, dan lainnya. Ruang lingkup penelitian adalah perancangan sistem monitoring yang dapat dilihat melalui LCD 2x16 yang menampilkan besaran arus dan suhu serta proteksi yang dibangun berbasis mikrokontroler Arduino Uno. Hasil pengujian charge baterai dengan panel surya 10 WP menghasilkan total arus dalam satu hari sebanyak 3,56Ah. Hasil pengujian discharge baterai tanpa beban, tegangan input 4 s.d. 12V menghasilkan tegangan pada range 5,1 s.d. 5,2V. Relay aktif Ketika arus mencapai 1 A dan suhu 50oC. Hasil pengujian discharge baterai dengan beban, menunjukkan penurunan tegangan sampai 11,26V, dan arus yang mengalir stabil pada 0,3A.
