Abstract
Islamic economics as an alternative solution to the socialist and capitalist economic systems that have not been able to p rovide economic prosperity in the world. Sharia economy needs to be implemented especially in areas inhabited by the majority of Muslim communities. Serang City with a majority Muslim population is an ideal place for the implementation of Islamic economics. The community's need for alternative halal financing is a problem that needs to be solved together, both by the community and the local government. This relatively new research aims to analyze the aspirations of the community regarding the establishment of BUMD BPR Syariah in Serang City in the regional work plan. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with data collection through observation, questionnaires and interviews. This research presents the results, that based on community aspirations collected through channels of student organizations, religious organizations, academics and community leaders. It was found that the people of Serang City stated the need for the establishment of BUMD BPR Syariah in Serang City considering the needs and rights of the Muslim community in Serang City in particular and the spirit of leaving usury that needs to be facilitated. Thus this research resulted in recommendations to establish a Sharia BUMD BPR in Serang City

| Additional Information: | Ekonomi syariah sebagai solusi alternatif dari sistem ekonomi sosialis dan kapitalis yang belum mampu memberikan kesejahteraan ekonomi di dunia. Ekonomi syariah perlu diimplementasikan khususnya pada wilayah yang dihuni oleh mayoritas masyarakat muslim. Kota Serang dengan populasi masyarakat mayoritas muslim merupakan tempat yang ideal untuk penerapan ekonomi syariah. Kebutuhan masyarakat akan alternatif pembiayaan halal menjadi masalah yang perlu diselesaikan bersama, baik oleh masyarakat maupun pemerintah daerah. Penelitian yang tergolong baru ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa aspirasi masyarakat terkait pembentukan BUMD BPR Syariah di Kota Serang pada rencana kerja daerah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, kuesioner dan wawancara. Penelitian ini memaparkan hasil, bahwa berdasarkan aspirasi masyarakat yang dihimpun melalui saluran organisasi mahasiswa, organisasi keagamaan, kalangan akademisi dan tokoh masyarakat. Ditemukan bahwa masyarakat Kota Serang menyatakan perlu dibentuknya BUMD BPR Syariah di Kota Serang mengingat kebutuhan dan hak bagi masyarakat muslim di Kota Serang khususnya serta semangat meninggalkan riba yang perlu difasilitasi. Dengan demikian penelitian ini menghasilkan rekomendasi untuk membentuk BUMD BPR Syariah di Kota Serang. | |||||||||
