Abstract
This research aims to (1) analyze the development elements which are limited to plot, plot stages; situation stage; generating circunstances stage; rising action stage; climax stage; denouement stage and characterization in the novel Lalita by Ayu Utami. And (2) describes the inner conflict experienced by the main character in the novel Lalita by Ayu Utami. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The technique in this research uses library study techniques and note-taking techniques. The data source in this research is the novel Lalita by Ayu Utami. Based on the research results, 21 data elements were found to build the novel, including; The plot in the novel Lalita by Ayu Utamu found 2 data for the situation stage, 4 data for the generating circunstances stage, 2 data for the rising action stage, 2 data for the climax stage, and 2 data for the denouement stage; The main character in the novel Lalita by Ayu Utami is Lalita. There were 5 characterization data found. And 9 data on the inner conflict of the main character in the novel Lalita by Ayu Utami.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis unsur pemmbangun yang dibatasi pada alur, tahapan plot; tahap situation; tahap generatig circunstances; tahap rising action; tahap climax; tahap denouement dan tokoh penokohan pada novel Lalita karya Ayu Utami. Dan (2) mendeskripsikan konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama dalam novel Lalita karya Ayu Utami. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik studi pustaka dan teknik simak catat. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu novel Lalita karya Ayu Utami. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 21 data unsur pembangun novel diantaranya; plot dalam novel Lalita karya Ayu Utamu ditemukan 2 data tahap situation, 4 data tahap generatig circunstances, 2 data tahap rising action, 2 data tahap climax, dan 2 data tahap denouement; tokoh utama dalam novel Lalita karya Ayu Utami adalah Lalita ditemukan 5 data penokohan. Dan 9 data konflik batin tokoh utama dalam novel Lalita karya Ayu Utami. | |||||||||
