Abstract

Kibin Subdistrict, located in Serang Regency, is one of the major industrial areas so that the Kibin Subdistrict road is always busy with traffic combined with poor road geometry conditions and a very large volume of vehicles causing this road to be vulnerable to accidents so that Jalan Raya Jakarta - Serang, Serang Regency, Kibin Subdistrict was chosen as an area to be evaluated regarding road safety to determine the factors that cause accidents and the level of accidents seen from various aspects so that alternative prevention can be given. The methods used in the research are the Accident Equivalent Number (AEK) and Upper Control Limit (UCL) to analyze high accident-prone areas and The Gross Output (Human Capital) for calculating the cost of accident victim losses. The results obtained from this study are the highest accident rate is minor injuries (LR) of 68% (190 victims). the most factors causing accidents are human factors, namely 86% (140 events). Alternative efforts in minimizing accidents on road segments in vulnerable areas (segment 2 Tambak village and segment 4 Nambo Ilir village) are improving crossing facilities, providing speed control devices, improving road lighting facilities, providing reflective signs, socializing obeying traffic rules to the public, and controlling traffic rules.

Additional Information: Kecamatan Kibin yang terletak di Kabupaten Serang menjadi salah satu kawasan industri besar sehingga ruas jalan raya Kecamatan Kibin selalu padat lalu lintas dengan kondisi geometri jalan yang kurang baik dan volume kendaraan yang sangat besar menyebabkan jalan ini rawan kecelakaan sehingga Jalan Raya Jakarta – Serang, Kabupaten Serang, Kecamatan Kibin dipilih sebagai daerah yang akan dilakukan evaluasi mengenai keselamatan jalan untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab kecelakaan dan tingkat kecelakaan dilihat dari berbagai aspek sehingga dapat diberikan alternatif pencegahannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode Angka Ekivalen Kecelakaan (AEK) dan Upper Control Limit (UCL) untuk menganalisis daerah rawan kecelakaan dan metode The Gross Output (Human Capital) untuk perhitungan biaya kerugian korban kecelakaan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat kecelakaan terbanyak adalah luka ringan (LR) sebesar 68% (190 korban). faktor terbanyak penyebab kecelakaan adalah faktor manusia yaitu sebesar 86% (140 kejadian). Upaya alternatif dalam meminimalisir kecelakaan pada segmen jalan daerah rawan (segmen 2 desa Tambak dan segmen 4 desa Nambo Ilir) yaitu meningkatkan fasilitas penyebrangan, pemberian alat kendali kecepatan, perbaikan fasilitas penerangan jalan, pemberian rambu yang memantulkan cahaya, sosialisasi taat aturan lalu lintas kepada masyarakat, dan penertiban aturan lalu lintas.
