Abstract

Situ Palayangan is an artificial stagnant water body locatedin Margajaya Village, Cimarga District, Lebak Regency. The presence of introduced fish species in public waters in Indonesian territory is feared to threaten the existence of native fish that have existed before and cause changes in the composition of native fish species in certain waters. Research related to the fish community structure in Situ Palayangan has never been done. The purpose of this study was to analyze the fish community structure in Situ Palayangan. Data collection was carried out from 1– 30 September 2021 at Situ Palayangan. Water quality measurements (temperature, pH, DO, and brightness) and fish sampling were carried out in situ. Measurement of water quality parameters was carried out at intervals of 15 days 3 times. Fish sampling was carried out using gill nets, throwing nets, and traps. Fish identification was carried out ex- situ at the Aquaculture Laboratory, Department of Fisheries Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. The results showed that the value of the diversity index (H') at all stations ranged from 1.45- 1.67, the dominance index (C) 0.23-0.34, the uniformity index (E) ranged from 0.70-0, 80, the species richness index (R) ranged from 1.39 to 1.64, the abundance ratio to biomass index (W) ranged from - 0.02 to 0.07. Found 9 species in Situ Palayangan. The relatively moderate level of diversity is indicated by the presence of several fish species that dominate. The ecological status of the introduced fish community in Situ Palayangan, although included in the category of high ecological pressure due to the dominance of introduced fish, is relatively undisturbed ecologically. This ecological pressure is thought to be related to the low to moderate diversity of fish species and the dominance of certain fish species.

Additional Information:	Situ Palayangan merupakan genangan air buatan yang terletak di Desa Margajaya, Kecamatan Cimarga Kabupaten Lebak. Kehadiran spesies ikan introduksi di perairan umum di wilayah Indonesia dikhawatirkan mengancam keberadaan penduduk asli ikan yang telah ada sebelumnya dan menyebabkan perubahan komposisi ikan asli spesies di perairan tertentu. Penelitian terkait struktur komunitas ikan di Situ Palayangan belum pernah dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis ikan struktur masyarakat di Situ Palayangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dari 1– 30 September 2021 di Situ Palayangan. Pengukuran kualitas air (suhu, pH, DO, dan kecerahan) dan pengambilan sampel ikan dilakukan di tempat. Pengukuran parameter kualitas air dilakukan dengan interval 15 hari sebanyak 3 kali. Ikan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan jaring insang, jaring lempar, dan bubu. Ikan Identifikasi dilakukan secara ex-situ di Laboratorium Akuakultur Departemen Program Studi Ilmu Perikanan Fakultas Pertanian Sultan Ageng Universitas Tirtayasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H') pada semua stasiun berkisar antara 1,45-1,67, indeks dominansi (C) 0,23-0,34, indeks dominansi (C) 0,23-0,34, indeks keseragaman (E) berkisar antara 0,70-0,80, indeks kekayaan jenis (R) berkisar antara 1,39 hingga 1,64, rasio kelimpahan terhadap indeks biomassa (W) berkisar antara - 0,02 hingga 0,07. Ditemukan 9 spesies di Situ Palayangan. Tingkat yang relatif moderat Keanekaragaman tersebut ditunjukkan dengan adanya beberapa jenis ikan yang mendominasi. Itu status ekologi komunitas ikan introduksi di Situ Palayangan termasuk dalam kategori tekanan ekologi tinggi akibat dominasi ikan introduksi relatif tidak terganggu secara ekologis. Tekanan ekologis ini adalah diduga terkait dengan keanekaragaman spesies ikan yang rendah hingga sedang dan dominasi spesies ikan tertentu.
